Long time car owner and pitman TOM MERCER is in South Community hospital room 714.
He is in serious condition with cancer. I am sure he would welcome any visitors.
Please keep TOM in your prayers!!!!!

Glen,
Went over this morning and visited with Tom, he seems to be doing a little better and says he is ready to get the hell out of there, so I guess he hasn't lost his sense of humor, he seemed fairly alert and hopefully they will take that drain tube out of his nose, he can't eat solid food until they do. He would I'm sure appreciate some visitors, it would help to keep his spirits up.
For those of you who don't know Tom he is one of the true treasures of early Fairgrounds racing through the early 2000's he is almost as old as the Secretary himself, Tom got it done the hard way back when you built everything yourself, he has earned my vote for a OKC Hall of Famer as a car owner and crew chief!!!

Had the pleasure of working for Tom the first half of 78' when David Brotherton was driving the 42 car. Always a lot of fun, & raced just for the sheer pleasure. Did a lot with very little money. Have stayed in touch with Tom over the years, the last 5 or 6 years he was over at Rons on S. Western. Helped me out with a lot of lawn mower parts. A real treasure to our sport, hang in there Tom.
