Wanted to get this posted for Bud over here. Bud passed out flyers in the pits last Sunday for this.
We would like to invite everyone to a fundraiser we are holding to benefit Travis Rutz.
The event will be held on June 13, 2010 and will be held at TenDown Bowling & Entertainment in Roseburg, OR. We will be serving an Italian buffet-style dinner with a Monte Carlo type bowling event to follow. Tickets are $35 and proceeds will benefit Travis Rutz. As well as bowling and dinner, there will be a silent auction and raffles.
We have donations of everything from memorabilia to race car parts, and we have had tremendous amount of support from several manufacturers. Examples: QRC karts has been generous enough to donate a Jr frame and cage kit, KKRacing is shipping out a few items, as well as many other donations from companies involved with sprint car racing. See a list of a few vendors below:
The drivers and crew of the Golden State Challenge series are going to stop in Roseburg on their way through and support Travis Rutz as he continues to fight and battle every day. Bud Kaeding and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show Travis that we are all still thinking about him and supporting him as he recovers from this accident.

If anyone would like to donate shirts or anything for the fundraiser we'll be walking around the pits at Ocean Speedway tommorow and Placerville Speedway on Saturday or just see Bud in the pits.

This is such a wonderful thing to do for a fellow racer and I hope it will be a success! I had no idea that Travis was still struggling soo much since his accident at the end of September  I logged onto his website travisrutz.com and there is a daily update thread to see his progress each day. I hope that he continues to get better each day and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
