There's been an influx of requests for hotel information for this weekend's race, so the host hotels links as well as directions have now been posted at the bottom of the home page at www.CowtownSpeedway.com - make sure to mention Cowtown Speedway when you place your reservation to receive the discounted rates.

Both hotels listed are very nice (3 stars) and are in a safe, retail shop-loaded area less than 10 minutes from the track.

----------------------
Other notes:

-Regarding the reschedule date for the USMTS, that is still in the works and will be announced as soon as it becomes available.

-Everyone on the Cowtown team is doing whatever they can to help make this a special night. It should be a blast for every family member, make sure to come early to have some extra fun at the attractions before the races. And yes, they plan to fire up the NASCAR Sprint Cup car, as it's race ready.

-As of Wednesday night, there's still saying dry conditions on Saturday night, with an afternoon high of 94 with a low of 74; so all is looking favorable there.

IT'S FINALLY RACE DAY!

Perfect conditions should greet fans and race teams upon their arrival to the Family Fun & Racing Festival at Cowtown Speedway today!

The forecast for 5pm when the gates and attractions open is 91 degrees, mostly cloudy, dry and a stiff wind out of the south at 19mph. At the 7pm race time similar conditions can be expected with slowly dropping temperatures throughout the night to about 83 degrees, dry and wind to your back in the stands.

Here are some quick notes:

-Coolers the size of a 6-pack (14" or less) are allowed into the stands as long as they do not contain glass. In the event of a full crowd, those coolers must fit under your legs so they do not take up seating space. Blankets must also be confined to your personal space.

-Advance tickets can be purchased at the track website for no additional cost, up until 4pm today.

Please visit www.CowtownSpeedway.com for complete event information and don't miss out on the first ever Family Fun & Sprint Car Racing Festival tonight at the Fastest Lil' Dirt Track in Texas - Cowtown Speedway!
