Ed is working on his WOO races for next week in Kansas. After he is done with those I'm sure we will learn more about his schedule for Enid.

Hey guys we are in heat races in Dodge right now but I wanted to tell you that I am watching what is written and have taken quite a few calls and for the record you have allot of passionate people about the Enid Speedway. Please let me thru this weekend and before all heck breaks loose with my WOO event.
Time to go and run the show here in Dodge.
I am thinking I can give you something to smile about soon!
Thanks again for the confidence,
Seeya,
Ed

Here is a story about what Beckley had to say about taking over promotions at Enid.

Ed's work at Dodge City last weekend was some of the best I have ever seen by a promoter. To survive against that kind of weather, and to do so with a racey track, was incredible. Enid is in good hands. Now, Ed, how about the Outlaws in Enid the Wednesday before or after the Dodge City weekend

I do not know how Saldana would feel about that. I remember when he was running with the All-Stars there was a Thunder though the Plains race at Enid.
The story was that Joey took a look at the track and how it was done. They did not even unload the car from the truck. Joey and crew left Enid at went to Okc for the next night.

Unfortunately, After the fiasco 2 months ago, you'd be hardpressed to get a WoO race anywhere in Okla again for a long time.

90 miles south of Enid is Oklahoma City with 3,000 or so fans with no plans for Friday nights. We would welcome you to our market. Best of luck with Enid and hope you are successful in your plans for that great place to watch a race

Don't kid yourself. They're looking for dates. And one bummer does not an entire state indict. They'd go to Enid with smiles on their faces if it meant another potential payday.

If Mr. Beckley wants to roll the dice and see what happens, bringing in the WoO sprinters will do just that. He would either take an "ouchme" or would hear "chaching" as that product is untapped at Enid. If I remember correctly the NCRA/All-Star Thunder tour had tons of people there and with Fairgrounds Speedway closed, and the sprint car fan base in OKC as strong as it is, it could very well be crowd numbers that haven't been seen at Enid Speedway in a long time.
Whatever Mr. Beckley does I am sure will be well thought out and a plan to build upon. He knows people are watching here for his next move and when he has things solid you can bet he will post it here.

Ok yah all help me with some info.
To schedule a race I first need to make sure we are not on top of some track that has taken up the slack since Enid's closing. I am thinking we probably need to stay with a Saturday night track even if that does spread me thin ......so where are you all racing at now? Is Friday an option? Or where do you race on Friday's or Sunday evenings.
I do Liberal once a month on Sunday evening and kick butt. Get the cars and the people but we start at 6pm and are done by 8:30pm and everyone can go home to work.
So ..........Friday is way better for me. Since no OKC on Friday anymore what about Friday??
Sunday is a good choice for me also. What about that Sunday at 6pm deal?
Classes this year will run the rules you have been running...........ONLY YOU BETTER KNOW YOUR RULE BOOK...........Because I and my tech guy will! There is no favoritism in a sucessful race track.
Officials that were there before - there are some of you that i would like to talk to..........there will be some of you that will not want to work for me......and that's fine. I want a TEAM that is for one thing and that is for the sucess of Enid Speedway Park!
My plans are to come to Enid hopefully early this next week and browse around and hopefully have a race or two scheduled for the VERY near future.

I am not a Enid resident but from a person in Okc and have been around a few dirt tracks lol.
If you can make the Sunday thing work it might be a good deal. Many of the tracks in the state race on Sat night. I can not speak for anyone else but I get off of work at 5 on Friday's and it usually a hour and half to two hour drive for me to Enid. The Sunday deal would let the drivers that are running other tracks that might be in a points hunt cont. to race while still running Enid. I have always wondered if a track could make a Sunday race day work. I do know that Clinton tried it once before.
