James McFadden is the 2010 Australian Sprintcar champion after winning a controversial and action packed weekend. The B-Main finished in a heated confrontation between Brooke Tatnell and Steven Lines after contact between the two sent Lines spinning infield while fighting for the final transfer with just 2 to go. On the lap prior Lines had made contact with the wall while trying to give Tatnell room as he completed a slide-job on him however as Lines tried to re-slide Brooke in 3-4 Tatnell moved down resulting in the contact.
Ryan Farrell and Kerry Madsen occupied the front row of the A and Farrell lead away for the first 17 laps. Kerry Madsen was able to take the lead on the top side shortly after the stoppage but not for long. In what can only be described as a horrible 'banzai' attempt at a slide job, Farrell and Madsen made heavy contact sending Kerry on a wild ride. Farrell was sent to the rear for the incident leaving McFadden to lead away from Steven Bell, Matt Egel, Jamie Maiolo, Trevor Green and Garry Brazier at the restart.
McFadden was never headed from then on and opened up 1/4 of a lap by the finish, while a fired up Farrell was able to fight his way back to 6th, passing the likes of Tatnell and Brazier in a blistering 17 lap run to the finish
