(I just received a phone call from a Napa County Fairboard Member and this is what I was told)

As of right now the Calistoga Speedway is in good shape to race. The crews had begun working the track over a week ago and the rains have just eliminated the use of golf coarse sprinklers to keep water on the track during the week. The main concern is the pit area and parking lots. The Weather Channel forecasts rain into tonight and sunshine starting Friday through the weekend. We are keeping a close eye on things and will try to make a decision by Friday evening, but it could come as late as Saturday morning. If we can't race Saturday, we plan to push the entire show back a day, racing on Sunday and the Monday holiday.

The pit entrance will be open Friday night for race teams to enter and stay overnight. Please park your rigs under the big metal barn (NOT in the grassy areas) to assure that you won't get stuck.

We hope to see you all in Calistoga on Saturday.

If things go our way we should have one heck of a cushion!
