Memorial Weekend Triple on tap for Lucas Oil ASCS2

Cody Morris, EL RENO, Ok (May 25 2010) Lucas Oil ASCS2 action reignites with a pair of events at Port City Raceway’s racy 1/8th mile, high banked bullring Friday, May 28th and Saturday, May 29th, before a Sunday, May 30th Creek County Speedway holiday weekend finale.

Defending 2009 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw Champion and current Bixby, Ok resident Kevin Bayer takes a slim 20 point advantage over hard charging Oklahoma City, Ok native Christopher Bell into the first of three scheduled holiday weekend doubles at Port City Raceway, with fellow competitors Blake Hahn, Frank Flud, and Michael Wickham also giving immediate chase.

On the strength of consecutive runner up finishes in the most recent Lucas Oil ASCS2 action at I-44 Speedway, Steven Shebester leads the hotly contested Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing division into the holiday weekend action. Shebester holds a 29 point advantage over Collinsville, Ok native Tyler Thomas with Christopher Bell, Shelby Byrd, and Hunter Jones shortly in tow.

After sweeping Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted class action at I-44 Speedway, Logan Martin currently sits atop the point standings by 32 markers over Chance Morton, with Karley Kay Dobson, Dalton Wisely, and Dylan Wickham rounding out the top 5 in Restricted points coming into the weekend’s contests.

The Lucas Oil ASCS2 series is scheduled conclude the holiday weekend tripleheader with a return trip to Kellyville’s Creek County Speedway Sunday, May 30th for an open wheel spectacular featuring ASCS2 Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted classes as well as a full field of Champ Sprints running for $750 to win/$125 to start. The originally scheduled Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget portion of this event has been postponed to a date to be determined soon.

This event marks the 2nd of four scheduled 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 events at Creek County Speedway. In previous May 21st ASCS2 action, Tyler Thomas (ASCS2 midgets), Andrew Felker (ASCS2 Outlaw), Donnie Ray Crawford (ASCS2 Non Wing), and Blake Jenkins (ASCS2 Restricted) all took Creek County honors.

Gates will open at 4pm with racing set to go green at 7pm both Friday and Saturday at Port City Raceway. This race will be 2 complete shows, with the top 4 from Friday being locked into Saturday night A Feature action. General Admission is $8, kids 6-12 is 4$, 5 and under get in free. Driver pit passes are $30. Regular Pit Passes will be $25.

For the Sunday, May 30th ASCS2 weekend finale at Creek County Speedway, gates open at 4pm with heat race action scheduled to begin at 7pm. Adult admission is $10, Senior admission is $7, kids 6-12 admission $5, children five and under will get in free. Pit passes are $30.
