Sato's car is a Dallara? Is Lotus putting its name on a Dallar chassis?

Looking at the names for the line up is it any wonder that type of racing has lost its following?

Putting aside for a moment that I'm noting the race 20 years ago had a number of guys I vaguely remember even then (boy that Tero Palmroth could back er in at Terre Haute!), it looks to me like it's a lot tougher to make the race now than then. This year there is a 3 mph difference between 1st and 33rd. 20 years ago there was a 12 mph difference. I'd say the biggest thing that stands out to me is that 20 years ago almost a 1/3rd of the field was former winners of the race (with 1 former and 1 future winner not making the cut) and this year there is 4? (by my rough count). Interesting that former Gardner Motorsports sprint car driver John Andretti is in both fields.
