Character cannot be purchased, bargained for, inherited, rented or imported from afar.
With that being said, I would like to thank and congratulate my team for a solid performance last Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway. Chad qualified fourth, made some smart (and clean) moves in his heat race and did a fabulous job in the feature. Unfortunately, we came up two corners short of a victory. Our Wolfweld chassis was on a rail and our Engler injected engine was singing!
Thank God no one was seriously injured in the accident that occurred.
This is a serious sport with serious consequences that sometimes gets taken for granted.
The positive side to all of this is that there is room for improvement and those improvements will be made.
Knoxville Raceway should be and will continue to strive to be the greatest place on dirt.

Very nice Mr. Burch. Thank you for maintaining your high standards, and giving the fans a great example to follow.
Also, kudos to you for having a team for us to enjoy.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

What a refreshing approach and one that will make all negative posters step back and re-read the wisdom of Mark Burch. You stand head and shoulders above your peers Mark.

I agree... taking the high road isn't always easy! You guys have been fast in the heat races for quite a while, and looks like you are starting to put it all together and move forward in the feature. Keep up the good work, and you'll be in victory lane soon!

Wow...What a class act. I expected a response, but, I was afraid it was gonna say the Mark Burch Motorsports team will not be running at Knoxville anymore...I am sure Knoxville will address this issue...I don't know Mark or any of his players personally, but am familiar with his cars and their history. As a Knoxville fan, it is great having them run every week, when they could stay home and run locally.
Best of luck for the rest of the year, you have a new HUGE fan.....

Mark: You are the gentleman I have always thought you were. I personally about fell out of the grandstand Saturday night when this incident occurred. You are a true assest to our sport.

I sat next to him once in a suite at the Hall of Fame and I think I saw him take a drink of alcohol and might have heard a cuss word that night also, let's not cannonize him yet folks, lol. Nice job for you and the boys on the weekend Mark and your response doesn't surprise me or anyone that knows you at all. Take It Easy....
