GASTON LEADS THE ASCS/SW WINGED SPRINTS TO CANYON SPEEDWAY PARK
Press Release Peoria, AZ May 17, 2010 --- Coming to Canyon's 3/8th oval for the first time in nearly eight years, the WINGED SPRINT CARS racing under the ASCS Southwest Region umbrella look to make their debut this Saturday May 22nd. Points leader John Gaston looks to continue his season running up front while runner-up Rick Ziehl and third place Calvin Landis hope to be found crossing the checkers first.
Promoter Doug Gabbard said, "We are excited to have this quality of racing at CSP. Our staff and fans can hardly wait for this show. If things go as anticipated, we look to add a ASCS/SW region show to our CANYON SOUTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIP'S schedule on Friday October 22nd. We would still see the ASCS/Canyon Non Wing Sprints run on Saturday October 23rd as scheduled." Gabbard goes on to say that they will also run an individual show each night for the Modified Midget/Mini Sprint group with wings on Friday and non-winged Saturday during this event. All-in-all for exciting sprint car racing in the valley of the sun, Canyon Speedway Park is the place to be this Saturday!
Along with the great race action scheduled, FREE child give-a-ways are in the works as DD-Motorsports has stepped up to sponsor the prizes. Canyon's "FOCUS ON FAMILY" allows all kids 12 & under to get in free to the general admission area! Kids can also sign up near the front gate for the traditional Canyon Kids Co-pilot program. Kids that sign up have a chance for their name to be randomly drawn and matched to cars running the main events. If the car your kid is matched up with the race winner, then your child will go onto the concourse and receive a co-pilot trophy with the main event winner.

Racing begins at 7:30pm; general admission tickets are $15, senior/military $13 and as always children 12-under are FREE. All access pit passes are $30 per person with no age restrictions and gates are open all day. BYOB in cans only and FREE camping is permitted (no hook-ups).
