After a terrific show at Tulare by the Golden State Challenge last night, I have become a fan of wings. I guess my opinion of wings was formed by the Outlaws. The GSC was nothing like the Outlaws. These guys put on a great show, Tim and Bud Kaeding swapping the lead with Tatersall and Tim squeaking out the win. Most thrilling feature I have seen this year. I will be heading up 99 more often this year. These same guys pop in a 360 to run a 360 wing show at Watsonville, which I have heard is always an outstanding show. Tulares track was racy for the wings, but got a tad dusty for the 360 feature. Merle Haggards "Tulare Dust" was running thru my mind. Bud Kaeding easily won the 360 A. but not without some competion. West Coast 360's put on a good show. Nice to watch the whole show in shorts and t-shirt as opposed to bundling up at Ventura.

The wingers will be at Hanford this Friday.
See http://www.kingsspeedway.net/.
Brent doesn't win them all anymore. Jonathan Allard, Evan Suggs, Peter Murphy, Tommy Tarlton, the Kaedings, Zack Zimmerly and Kyle Larson are all threats now. There's a girl named Alissa Geving from Petaluma who's been track champ there twice, too. And it's never a parade.
All that said, Joey Saldana put on a clinic when the 'laws were there a few weeks ago.
See http://www.goldenstatechallengeseries.com/.

It was Tommy Tarlton who was duking it out with the Kaedings. Tartlton finished 2nd, Ky;e Laeson 3rd and Bud fourth. Friday the GSC runs at Kings and Saurday the Ocean speedway 360 wing will run at Tulare. I plan on making both ahows!

The best race I watch every year is the Trophy Cup fundraiser event at the Thunderbowl. Its 360 wings and attracts talent from every where in the country. Tim Kaeding started the A main last year in 24th spot and picked off car after car to finish 1st with Shane Stewart on his tail the whole way. Bar none Trophy Cup is a MUST see event in the late fall.

The GSC main event was the best race I have seen this year, and I have been to a bunch. Very typical of most wing main events at Tulare actually. If you didn't like that race, I don't trust you.

John, I can vouch for Lunatic. He's been to plenty of races. It really was that good, and you have no idea how hard that was for him to admit haha

NWL A bold admission with a handle like yours. If not the best show for me definitely top 5. BTW I just got off the phone with Ol'Hotaps and he ID'd you as a member of the Ralphie section. I can imagine the flak you will have to take from some of the unenlightened at Perris, I expected those two blasts we got on this post. LUDDITES! Can't wait to hear what ol' Rob says. More BTW, Bogan got Friday off so we will be hauling a** up 99 for the Friday GSC show at Kings and the Watsonville 360 wings at Tulare.
Love that Tulare track and the way that push truck club keeps things moving and the announcer was first rate. Gary Thomas' color was outstanding too.
I will have on my asbestos shorts for that Perris show on the 30th. I hope my pal Don Read will still talk to me.

Haha, Mr. Morgan and I only get together at Chili Bowl and Oval Nats. Chiller and Harley Man can vouch for my sobriety.
I do need a new shirt to wash my car with

Dave, I'll see you and Norm at Kings Friday. Looks like we are headed to Ventura Saturday for midgets. The wife needs a Ventura fix.

I can vouch for Oakhurst, he was totaly sober. I have a hard time admitting it but the Wing show was a great show. I think the 360 show would have been a lot better if they had ran before the wings but the Wing Cars put on an AWESOME show!!
