They show it in slow mo. Leppo and Montieth were blowing by Schatz like he was standing still. Montieth was even farther to the outside of Schatz than Leppo was when he passed him. Montieth jams on the brakes when he realizes Schatz is going to chop him and Schatz still runs over his left front. Montieth's car may have gotten a little bit squirrelly when he jammed on the brakes but Schatz was the one changing lanes, I’ll guarantee you Montieth wasn't trying to head to the bottom...lol. I also find it hard to believe Schatz didn't hear Montieth's motor in his right ear after four Outlaw titles. What caused the whole deal was Schatz being off the pace and losing his cool. Leppo and Montieth both started behind him for f sake.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

are you frikkn serious? have you ever driven one of these cars? In a sprint car your perifrial vision is close to nill , the right side of the car is totally blind (almost from the dash or front upright on back) strap yourself to a seat with impossible forward movement and tell me if you can go "driving miss daisy" im sorry, rubber necking in a sprint car is impossible !, now, you say "donny could hear him" ok, so he can possibly hear the "faint roar" of Monieths headers over his own , that is , maybe? does that nessessarly mean Donny knows exactly where Montieth is at ? , besides this is opening lap ALL drivers are searching for a preferred line, and in heavy traffic, regardless fast or slow ? Cmon, give it up , Im no Donny fan by no means, but , I do drive one of these cars and know exactly what the drivers view pont is , look at Donnys car afterwords, do you really think his actions were premeditated for the outcome? seriously a mild decision that cost him and others bigtime , there is no time for second guesses, split decisions make this a gamblers sport , so what , happens to the best ,the worst, and everything in between, dont be so Bias and opinionated , untill you have spent a lap in thier shoes, Im just glad everybody walked away could have been worse ..
