Sounds like it was a bone jarring crash... and the wait to hear he was up and walking was painfully long.

Sounded like one hell of a wreck on the start of the race, 10 cars involved with 5 of them getting upside down. I thought I heard Jonny say the 15 car was broke in half when they towed it to the infield. Glad to here all drivers where OK!

I'll say one thing, that # 38 (or 36) did everything humanly possible to avoid that wreck.
Correction, I think it was the 30C.

freight trained / fist lap desperation...possibly one of the most ILL ADVISED moves I have ever witnessed at the Grove.

Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD

It looks like Myers was headed to the pits.. The pit road is inside the actual racing surface on that corner.

Leave it to this fella to have no class at all.
Hey, congrats! Your boys won another one. Gonna keep you happy for months on end? What a shame it is to live vicariously through your local sprint car drivers.

I'm glad Donny is OK! It was his fault though! He was also a little "impatient" on Thurs. night. Another POSSE win in PA.....as per usual!

I agree with you Holden - the video looks like Montieth came down on Donny. I will agree that Donny had a terrible start to the race and looked like he was going to be going backwards, but in no way was the 15 car the reason for the pileup. If Montieth can't drive AROUND a slower car clean...(insert whatever ending you feel necessary at this point)
I just watched the video that was shot from the backstretch over and over and it absolutely looks like Montieth was riding Schatz down towards the infield. Leppo (I think) pulled along side Schatz coming out of turn 2 so Schatz knew that there was a car there. The video shows Schatz getting closer and closer to the infield wall and then all of a sudden he gets tagged in the right rear and all hell breaks loose. Bad, bad deal for Donny! Montieth should be embarrassed, he's a helluva driver that made an absolutely bone head move! All you posse fans that are turning this into anything else should also be embarrassed. Montieth f'ed up - own up to it, admit it and move on. By making any other excuse for what happened you are not only making yourself look like fools, but also giving your hometown driver a bad name in the process.

reading the comments on the Williams Grove forum...someone threw a beer at Schatz? After the wreck? Real class there. He should be banned from that track for the rest of his life. Or have the shit kicked outta him. If it is true anyways. I agree...thank God for the safety of these cars.

no beers thrown that I saw...beer hill has more respect for a bent can than wasting it on a guy who can't make a lap at speed. Montieth was in the same groove along the wall as Leppo and Schatz was on the inside all the way back to his failed entry choice in turn 1 until he tried to move up...right into the 21 car who was already commited to pass the bakery boy.
the contact happened right in front of us..tho WoO might consider making turn signals mandatory for the slow cars and this might not have happened,
