May 13, 2010…Rio Vista, CA…The Dan Simpson Racing Team will head north to Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA, for two days for sprint car action this weekend.
On Friday night the two car team of Dan and Danielle Simpson will compete in round number two of the Feather Falls Casino/Silver Dollar Speedway weekly racing series. Dan currently sits tied for 10th in the point's standings and will be looking to improve on his great start to the Silver Dollar season. Daughter, Danielle, will make just her second appearance at the fast ¼ mile Silver Dollar Speedway as she will work to improve on her inaugural Chico race last week where she finished 18th in her first Silver Dollar Speedway main event and is 19th in the point's standings. Crew Chief, Chuck Cypert, stated "Danielle is progressing very quickly and I see her becoming more comfortable in the race car. Give her 8-10 more races and she will be a regular top ten finisher"
The two car team will return to the Silver Dollar Speedway, Saturday, for the prestigious Dave Bradway Memorial event and round #7 of the 2010 Golden State Challenge Series. Danielle is looking forward to the two consecutive days of racing to garner some seat time in her Simpson Percherons, DES, DryVac, and Flowmaster Maxim. Danielle sits 14th in the Golden State Challenge Series. Dan Simpson will be looking to improve on his late season start and 20th spot in the Golden State series.
