Is Devils Bowl Speedway really going to drop their regular weekly 360 sprint class? I heard a rumor that if they didn't have 14 last weekend they were going to drop the class. Luckily they had 21 but 5 were non regular drivers with nowhere else to race. What's going on?
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

they're tire of the same old thing, 100 spec cars in the pits and 12 people in the grandstand........new rules.... naturally aspirated, no cubic inch limit, any injector stack as long as they fit inside the frame rails, no weight rule
the entire country would care about Devils Bowl Speedway again overnight
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

When they're paying $1,500 to win... ASCS cars will show up unless they have a points race. Nice car count last week and some quality in there (multiple ASCS champs).
I haven't been to all that many races at the Bowl in recent years... but I've been to Spring and Winter Nationals and the crowd was bad every time. Strong field, good racing... and not much in the way of attendance. Not sure that the economics of either weekly ASCS or the "Nationals" is working out without multiple support classes & classic "pay purse through pit gate".
And no, before the debate ensues... I don't begrudge Lanny anything. I hope he makes $ and books a WoO show. It will pack the house. (which is sad... because the ASCS races are good enough at the Bowl to go see)
Hopefully the Bandits show has a good crowd... some of the best races I have ever seen were USAC/CRA nonwing stuff at the Bowl. Amazing.
Typing this has me thinking of the fries & Mexican food at the Bowl. GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I've stated before, if the Devils Bowl would have a normal 10k to win WoO show with a 2500 to win ASCS show on the undercard, the place would be packed. There wouldn't be an empty seat in the stands. I'd make the loooong drive for that one myself.

The problem is LANNY EDWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!. He does no PROMOTING. He continues to live on the Bowls history. He could have an WoO show, but he hates them. Lanny is his own worst enemy.
