calling out the promoters at arlington . how can you tell the drivers at pit meeting and such that its the responsibility of the drivers to not get into situations that tear up equip. and cause cautions when your track is in the condition its in now . your the ones causing this . sprint cars bouncing in the corners panhard bars breaking hornet wheels breaking out the center of the wheels and you want to tell the drivers its their deal . too much rain , tiling , equipment broke , heard all your excuses . surprised more drivers havent been injured .

It sounds like the track was not in the best of shape last Saturday. On opening night when I attended, it seemed like the track was in fairly decent shape (only of course from my vantage point in the stands). What a difference a week must have made. Hopefully it will be in decent condition when the UMSS and IMCA sprints run a combined show on Saturday May 29.

your spot on . the track was as poor the second night as the first, or maybe your not in a class that is effected by 10 inch ruts and swales . they wont reply to this post because they know im rite . they have no excuse for a track in that condition . how can the drivers put on a good show when they have to drive around holes & ruts in the corners where the action is supposed to be . the ones that did payed for it.

Tracks are not perfect very often.
If I had to choose I would take a rough, heavy track over a dry slick dust cloud that will lay rubber.
Other tracks around here are MUCH harder on sprint car equipment than Arlington.
Either way, I am willing to give Arlington a try. We will be racing there this Saturday if everything goes ok at Kopellah. If we like it, we will return as often as possible.
Hope to see everyone there! Lets wish the rain away for Friday and Saturday!

What do you expect? Every week the track is perfect after hot laps and they dump a load of water on. the overwatering is why the track is rough. It was a plowed field all last year and looks to be that way again this year. Its unreal that the solution to the problem is so simple, QUIT OVER- WATERING!
