Last time I saw the car Trip, was at Victorville last year and it had one of his relations in it. Nephew or cousin I think. Turn4 knows better. Maybe he'll chime in this evening with clarification. Rumor I heard was that there were some thoughts of this young man campaigning the car. Don't know how strong his backing is. But the guy looked promising. Definitely wasn't afraid of the car and was anxious to stand on the gas. Even did some back of the field passing. Sometimes, same car a couple or more times. Had to gather her back up a couple of times from taking it in too hard. But that's to be expected first time in a sprint car. Hope to see him in the car again some night.

That would have been Jake Argo who is Rodney's cousin. Jake has been crew chief on a number of midgets/sprints here and in the midwest, most notably with Josh Wise when they both moved back to Indy to work for Tony Stewart Racing.

Rodney has told me that they were going to take this year off and come back next year.I also know that Rod's house burnt down right around Christmas time due to a electrical short,so they may be needing the funds to rebuild the house instead of racing.

Bummer! Sorry to hear about your house Rodney. That's a tough one. Good luck with the rebuild. Hope all goes well.

Terry you win the cookie.Rodney is still recovering from a neck injury he recieved last year.He told me just last week that next year is not out of the question.Don has three complete race cars sitting in the shop right now.So hopefully next season Rod will be in one of them.Don has no plans of running anybody in these cars.As for Rod's home which is accross the street from Decore Plating it luckily( for Rod's sake)caught fire in the afternoon on Christmas Eve.They were able to rescue Rod's cat "Boots" but everything else was pretty much a loss. The Argo's appreciate your sentiments, right now they are real busy keeping their business afloat.I personally am looking forward to getting back out to the PAS sometime this season.Til then you all be safe out there. Thanks for all of the information. Hope everything works out for the best to both of the Argos. Jake Argo traveled to Indiana last year to work with "Quick Nic" Faas.

Actually Jake has lived in Indiana for about 5 or 6 years.
