Which reminds me, the food at the Grove is better than anywhere in the country. Are the fries the same as at Lincoln, which always seemed to be the best I've ever tasted? Potato chips and candy, two things that make Central PA famous, along with Cubic and BRR. Take It Easy....

Mike...I believe most of us here would prefer the food at Lincoln or Port....with Port winning that battle!
There's nothing I "must have" at the Grove...good thing I don't go for the food!

I'm sure there is a completely logical explanation as to why Bill Rose is not credited with this All Star win. Can't wait to hear it. Let me guess, its not actually Central Pa., its more like West Central Pa ? LOL
Bedford Speedway,Bedford, PA Date of Race: 5/13/2007 A Feature 1: Rose, (6) 2: Wilson, (W20) 3: Smith, (07) 4: Hodnett, (22) 5: Smith, (4) 6: Leppo, (71) 7: Rahmer, (51) 8: Paulus, (28) 9: Wagner, (55) 10: Stewart, (8h) 11: Shetler, (98) 12: Wolfe, (5w) 13: Keel, (9) 14: Jacobs, (8J) 15: Bennett, (3) 16: May, (71m) 17: Fitz, (1f) 18: Mayes, (11b) 19: Dewease, (25) 20: Grubb, (19) 21: Esh, (30) 22: Neumeister, (11n) 23: Mintz, (09) 24: Nouse, (12)

Tarah, this is a thread about the All Stars @ the Pink Hair Palace and their Fabulous Farm Show Friday not a horse track in western Pa... :~/
In all due respect, I've read your signiture and will do the same...
Opinions may vary...

It's a good thing Tarah Way is really smart
It says at the Grove....not Lincoln, not Port, not Bedford, not anywhere but the GROVE.

Smitty, wasn't it the elephant ears at Port or something like that they were famous for? After trying one of them I was too full for anything else, lol. At the hundred plus tracks I've been to the only place that touches the Central PA scene was the Meat Pies at Newcastle AU and the rib eye steaks at Mt. Gambier also in AU. A dozen years of race track food 100+ nights a year and I really only got fat when I moved into this friggin' stupid office in Canucksville...Take It Easy...
PS It's hard to believe that Dale Blaney never won an All-Star Race at the grove in Tim Hughes' 94. I think I can remember him telling me once that he had only won a single feature there and he missed that night, he hates that to this day....

pass on the Grove's food and pick up 2 Hotchee Dogs on the way...or an Arby's Big Beef!
Lincoln = Pit Beef is hard to pass up...when the 358s are on the track - the beef pit is the place to be!
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

weather." Van May

Dr. Harris did a study on the ingredients of the chicken sandwich @ the Grove..."Beaks, feets and squeezens" are their make up... :~/

Great post, I forgot all about that race which gives the All Stars about 2 wins in PA. If I remember right, that race still remains as Bill's lone All Star win.

I thought the track was produced some great racing last fri night... on the police issue.. i thought it was funny because i wore my Joe Ilg BerksPA DUI enforcement sprintcar shirt... I believe Joe is a police officer in Berks county about an hour & 1/2 east of the sacred land. But he used to run a 410 at the fabulous Lincon Speedway in the pigeon hills of Pennsylvania...
My only problem was I drank too much coffee and I had to take a leak about half way home.

All 3 are not on there, however I'm sure they'll be @ Big Diamond on Sunday.

The All Stars have 1 win in central PA in the last 20 some odd years whether it was Williams Grove, Lincoln, Port, or Hagerstown. Heck, even Cris Eash beat them at Grandview a few years ago.. That win belongs to Kenny Jacobs in the 6 car a few years ago at Lincoln. For what its worth, I enjoy when the All Stars come over to visit. I just dont expect them to win. Go Brian!

So what was Blaney in 1983? Finished 3rd in All Star points. Is OWT wrong and that race was not All Star sanctioned? Just curious.

It looks like he ran mainly around home that year...
Blaney's Schedule
All Star Schedule
He did end up running about half the All Star schedule? OH Speedweeks, etc....and still got 3rd in points...lol?
I'll give you All Stars = .5 for 21 at the Grove...lol. Pretty sad state of affairs...

I think he ran the whole schedule. A lot of older results are incomplete. Click on the individual races and you will see that often only the top 5 or 10 are in the DB.

You're right, Osborne won the All Star Championship in 1983 and they only have 35 races recorded for him. Blaney might have missed a few, but not many. He did run PA quite a bit including speedweek and some Outlaw shows. I stand corrected, All Stars 1 for 21 at the Grove...pretty sad state of affairs...lol. Shutout for over 25 years...

How long has the Posse been shut out at the Knoxville Nationals? Bobby Allen won a great one but was a touring driver at the time. Could it be a lot worse than 0 -20 or 1 -21, methinks it could. Take It Easy....
PS What's the Posse at the Kings Royal, about 1 for 30, somewhat worse than the All-Stars again, hmmm
