Been hearing after much fingerpointing that Dude and Saldana are facing penalties after post race inspections the other night. Anyone else hear anything?

I heard that the #9 crew raised questions about the #83's wing.

Must be the thing to do these days. Their was some questions raised by some other racers/teams in here about the wings Dewease was using after his couple of wins. Lance uses wings built by Wings Unlimited out of Gettysburg. Last week when the issue came to a head, Lance didn't have an extra wing with him, so The Grove took one of Mark Smith's which was identical to Lance's. The had a WoO official come into town spec the wing, he gave it an ok. Guess they'll have to move onto something else now....(lol)....

You guys need to get your facts straight before you post anything on the board. Neither team was dq'd, penalized or anything else. Neither team questioned the others equipment either. WOO wanted to take the top 2 placers wings to get a template to "tech" wings in the future. You need to get better sources or a life would be good too. Does it make you feel more important to think you "know" what you're talking about. There's only a few of you that actually have any idea what you're talking about. Or have any connection to a reliable source. The rest of you either need to field your own team or just be what you are. A FAN. Enjoy the next race. And maybe, just maybe keep your mouth, or fingers, quite for a while.

do you know what a question mark is for? they said it was a rumor and was trying to find the facts, so lighten up a little.

Well said, Grande, but I was just trying to prove a point. Yes, I heard from a very good source that the 83 was questionable, but it was not fact. I've seen a lot of this lately on this board and I consider it propaganda with false pretence. This was merely directed at those people and nothing else. I hate to bring myself to this level, but hopefully this will start a different trend. The "very reliable source" issue has become a farce.

When I first started going to races, travelling at least, people asked me if I posted on here. I said 'no, I don't want to argue about the sport that I love'. Unfortunately, I've been sucked into this world and it has impared my judgement. I've seen too much on here to keep me interested in what is said here. There's also no excuse for that. Also want to thank KCKim for a reality check.

Hey, it's Easter. Felt like a need for an apology.

If it was stated as fact you "might" have a reason for your rant. The person that started this topic simply asked a question. There was even a question mark in the title of the thread. Nowhere was it stated as fact. You might want to be happy about the fact that there are people that still give a shit enough about the sport to ask questions and be interested. Without us "fans" you "connected" people wouldn't be very damn "important" now would ya?

We could all keep our hands off the keyboard and let Grande take over since it seems that he has all the answers as he is a connection ya know. We wouldn't even have to worry if there is correct puncutation as it would be fact, plus you can't ask questions on this message board like you use to be able too.

KCKim is right, this board isn't like it use to be and it almost (in my opinion) you have to be politically correct or you get slammed. Heck, fans can't even ask questions without having series presidents try calling you out when all your doing is stating your opinion or asking questions.

In the meantime, I am sure this simple questioned post will grow to 75 posts with all to do about nothing but the mudslinging will continue to fly.

you can put this place to rest real easy with the kinder / gentler / sleeper threads...look back at the thru the pages and you see the most views are on the hardball subjects.

hope you all had a good holiday weekend...and keep us up to date on the inside cheating schemes, we need entertainment between races.

It would be interesting to know which team Grande7579 is connected with. If that's their opinion of the fans... I don't want to be their fan. Don't you realize....No sprint car fans = No you.

The original poster asked a question... didn't state a fact.

There was definitely some activity going on in the pits after the race Fri. night as I alluded to in that other thread. Last thing I saw was the officials taking the Dude's wing and hearing that they'd give it back at Eldora.

Speaking of wings one thing I noticed was that a lot of the teams were using top wings with the right side panel slanted but not as much as the one the #9 crew used last year.

Never can tell, maybe the wing is a diversion from the real "cheating" some teams may or may not be doing.

Some teams will hide something out in the open so well that no one can see it when something else is covered LOL LOL LOL.

What we really need is Smokey Unick in sprint car racing, he would have make Karl Kinser look like an amature LOL LOL LOL
