Alex Johnson (April 13th, 2010) - With a strong debut in Robby’s first time out in the Bruce Williams 7k. Robby and the Williams team could not of asked for a better result. Racing with the Jackson Sprint Touring Series, Robby started the night off on the right foot by drawing the 7 pill for the night and starting outside row 1 in heat race number 3.

“I usually do not have that great of luck drawing, if there are 100 pills in the bag I will pick 101, but finally drew decent for once,” said Robby.

After winning his heat race by a half a lap, Robby lined up outside row 2 for the feature event. “ Eric Lutz and Gregg Bakker started in the front with me and I knew that they would be tough to beat,” Robby said. After the green flag dropped Robby took off and was in 3rd place, after a hand full of battles with Lutz and Bakker that is where he would cross the finish line. “ The track out there was sketchy, a couple times I hit the ruts in 1 and 2 pretty good and upset the car, and at the end Gregg did the same thing and I had a run on him on the high side but just ran out of time to get around him.” a excited Wolfgang said during the post race interview. “ I could not be happier for my first time out in the 7k, Bruce, Todd, Jamie, Alex and My dad gave me a heck of a car and all I had to do with drive it.”

With a solid 3rd place finish on Friday night, the Williams 7k made the tow to Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE. Luck wasn’t on their side, as they had to start towards the back of their heat race. “ There was not much passing in our heat race and I ended up where I started,” Robby said. With the 6th place finish in the heat race Robby would have to race the B main, where he started and finished 2nd to make the transfer into the A.

Starting 17th in the A main, Robby slowly tried to work his way to the front but was struck with a flat left rear, after a change in the pits Robby would make his way back onto the track to bring home the 7k in a 16th place finish. “The track was really, dry and slick, I think my tire sealed over at the drop of the green and I was just out there for the ride,” Robby said.

“I could not of been more happy with how we performed this weekend, Bruce gave me an amazing car both nights, and I had more fun then I ever had racing this weekend,” an excited Robby said. “Can not wait to head to I-80 next weekend for their annual 2 day ASCS Regional Show, Hopefully we have another good weekend as I always look forward to racing at I-80 as it’s a high banked, fast half mile”
