I find this rather interesting, as he even said in victory lane that he had a left-front go down, but never mentioned changing right-rear tires even once after the race during his interview or in the past 36 hours. Now it is brought up? Who is exactly running this dog and pony show called the World of Outlaws anyway, and how can the officials actually mess up this bad with all this happening right under their nose? Not very impressive if you ask me.

Pretty easy to tell if the RR is flat....would have been an easier out if the WoO's would have said the tire was "damaged" instead of flat.

You would think they would have monitors in the work area. Makes one wonder for sure. The race and the whole tire and red flag stops really sucks, for alack of a better word.

i find it funny how everyone is protesting meyers just cause he is kicking ass this year......no offense to anyone who disagrees, but just my opinion. nobody is protesting joey changinf 4 tires on a closed red from what i hear, why? because he didnt win.........i wasnt there so i dont know the whole story, this is all just what i have gathered from different people and different team people who actually were there.....not trying to dog anyone or cause anymore problems, i just think there is someone new out there kicking ass and the ones that are used to having "control" over everything in the outlaws are pissed.

dont get me wrong, i know it was a terrible night all together, and am not sticking up for one person or another, its just what i have gathered......if it is that big a deal, than take away all points earned for the night from everyone and leave it at that....go to the next race and get it over with a.s.a.p.

I agree, Jason is a smart and good driver. I wasn't there, but if what is being said is true about him changing a RR tire................Hello........rules are rules and should apply to one and all. Not making that statement in a bashing way, as I'm a Jason Meyers fan and glad to see him getting a good start on the season.

In my opinion the points should be wiped away from that night.

What's the deal ....Did Meyers change a RR under Red which was not flat, or damaged without going to the work area ? Must have been some sort of issue as it seems like everybody was popping tires and if allowed it would seem logical that everyone would have changed tires under the red
... ????

Quick-time...I believe the deal is that according to the WoO rulebook you can't change a tire unless it's flat or damaged...which his wasn't, and he wasn't penalized for changing an ok tire.

Then I would understand why there would be PO'd drivers ... especially Steve if he was leading and would have been allowed to do the samething.

Meyers interview link from the Motor Racing Network...
He says he came in and changed a flat LF.
He says later he came in and changed a flat RR under Red.

There is something not being said by Meyers cause in the interview he said he changed a RR in the early 20 laps but then if u go to the World Racing Group Facebook and there is a pic where the RR looks brand new and if he had to run around 15 laps on a RR then it would look alot dirtier than that because that RR looks like it was ran about 2 laps!

From what I read his tire was going down on the first red flag fuel stop. Then everybody should have been able to change tires. Kinser has every right to be pissed. If he could have changed his he most likely would have won.

I wasn't there but this sounds like a bogus call and/or enforcement by WOO officials in allowing Meyers to change a RR under red without having had it blow or going flat like the rest of the field had to cope with. He even mentioned in his interview on MRN that he was able to move his way up because of his tire change and all the rest blew their tire in the last few laps. A call like this could really suck (or in Meryers case benefit) teams in a tight points battle. Seems like a bad deal !!!

If Kinser wants to bitch then he should also thank those same officials that gave him his spot back when he spun out into the infield at Tulare. They went a good lap and a half when they threw that yellow.
