Butler lost .....end of story ..... Hoosiers was PURE fiction....that's what it means to me anyhow....BUT .....I still admire Gene Hackman's work.

Maybe the teams on the Hoosiers were using up leftover tires from 2009; and who's to say that the Hoosier's weren't a softer compound than comparable Goodyears....
Time to give it up folks...Most of the major circuits/tracks/associations have contracts with Goodyear. Most of those contracts are multiyear, so I don't see things changing any time soon.....and teams have had several years to "learn" the Hoosier tires; while they've likely had three months to "learn" about the Goodyears.......6 years or six races experience...which do you think matters?

Other than the fiasco on Saturday, (which may or may not have been a Goodyear problem, Hoosiers had a heckuva an issue at Eldora back in 2004) the switch to Goodyear has provided more money for the drivers, and excellent racing. Definitely too early to decide whether it was a good move, but it's been a much better start than anyone could have predicted.

How did the switch give more money to the drivers. Payouts are the same point money si the same and the tires cost the same. Promoters and goodyear win! Drivers and owners should stand up for themselves. Obviously the outlaw regeime is making money, 60 some races and they are happy. How does a driver of a non nascar funded team pay his bills on that many races? Guess that only matters to people who care about the sport?
