Openings for Breast Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament
Sponsored by the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge
Lakewood, CA. – This year's fifth annual charity golf tournament, scheduled for Saturday, April 24, has met its goal of almost 100 entrants. The tournament, a benefit for the Susan G. Korman Program for the Cure and its Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, will be played at the Little Recreation golf course in Long Beach with award ceremonies to be held at the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge in Lakewood, the tournament sponsor.
The April 1, deadline for entries has past, but the good news is that there are still some openings for golfers to participate in this worthy event. All proceeds to include entry fee, raffles and a 50/50 draw will go to the Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. The entry fee is $55.00 and includes nine holes of golf, with each golfer to receive a small tournament gift bag, a golf hat to commemorate the event and a barbecue at the awards ceremony following the tournament at the Lakewood lounge. Monetary awards will be handed out to golfers for events at specific holes of the golf course. In addition, the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge will be drawing a raffle ticket for the lucky winner of a 40 inch, flat screen color television as well as other great raffle prizes.
Tony Jones, the 2007 USAC/CRA Sprint Car Champion and VRA rookie sprint car driver and defending USAC Ford Focus Dirt Champion Brody Roa and his top-gun wrench, father Brett are entered in this year's event and will be representing the racing community during the golf tournament. In addition, more USAC/CRA drivers are expected to compete in this year's tournament.
Jones, Roa and USAC Western Midget driver Jake Swanson of Anaheim are sponsored this year by the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge.
