Randy,

You know I agreed with you on alot of things in this post. But, you last post is what I kinda wanted people to think about. Last year at Brill's we had 12-20 cars on an avg. We kept asking ourselfs why more 2 barrel guys would not show up to race since Brill's was so close to Okc. Lawton was getting the same on a avg the same car count weekly. It is like fishing just b/c you put out the best bait does not always mean you are going to get bites.

Springer hit the nail on the head with his post. If anyone remembered the old Meeker track then they can remember it was a +++t in the hole track. Brill has turned the place around. I remember the winter nats last year as I was there and I was amazed that the pits ran smoothly in regards to getting cars to the line for line up. Shoot they had cars on the pit entrance.

Speaking of the late models. There was a guy from near my dad's home town up in Iowa. I talked to him after the races. He enjoyed the track. He was amazed how the red dirt was all over his and his crew members shirts.

Mark has added transponders to the cars this year to cut down on the questioning of calls in regards to where people finished. That tells me as a car owner/ driver that Mark is worried about how is track is viewed. I think there is still that misconception of Brill's is the old " Meeker". I am not saying that it is a NASCAR track but improvements have been made.

Oh hell yes he has made some good improvements and in time it will be even better. With a place like that one there will always be something to improve on, which is a good thing. It keeps the cost down so he can improve as he goes over the next few years. Hell it might become a Sprint Car track before we know it... That would make me want to do a happy dance...
