This is a copy off of the usac web site. Check out the second paragraph and the track directors last name. I rest my case your honor. Officials of USAC and Eldora Speedway postponed Saturday night's scheduled "Coca-Cola Spring Classic" USAC AMSOIL National Sprint race due to rain and wet grounds. Track preparations were progressing but with the forecast calling for more showers, the decision to postpone was made to minimize travel costs, etc. This event WILL be rescheduled, and exciting news regarding that reschedule date is expected to be released soon. Adverse track conditions forced cancellation of Friday night's "Coca-Cola Spring Classic" USAC AMSOIL National Sprint car race at Eldora despite extensive and lengthy track preparation efforts. "In the interest of driver and fan safety, we decided to cancel the event," said Eldora Speedway track director Larry Boos." Practice sessions were conducted but track conditions did not improve and it became evident that racing could not be conducted safely. "We regret the cancellation of this program," said USAC Competition Director Jason McCord, "but feel it was the best decision for all involved. We are dedicated to working with Eldora Speedway and their staff to be able to conduct events here in the future and we thank them for their tireless efforts."

Opperman fan, what are you getting at? If you are suggesting Larry Boos is responsible for track prep and what happened last weekend - you are severely mistaken. He has absolutely nothing to do with that part of the operation. And it's too bad too, because he has more experience at that place than anybody else working there.

Who is responsible for track prep at Eldora?

Larry Kemp has been in charge of track prep since the day he was hired. Now, having said that, I know they brought Earl's grandson Chad on board last year as well - so I don't know which one is technically responsible for track prep, but between those two, that's where the shots are being called from.

I don't know either one of those guys personally, but from the looks on their faces down in the pits on Friday night, I'm pretty sure they know they've got one HUGE @ss problem on their hands. I just hope they know how to fix it or get somebody in there that does.

I am not blaming Larry for the problem. I just thought it was interesting that was alot of booing and that the track managers last name was Boos. I don't even know if it is pronounce like it sounds but it still seems funny. I wasn't there and like I said I don't know Larry. I was just making a observation. Even though there may be a few heads that roll over this whole deal I have complete confidence that they will get the track back to it's glory days.

I agree with you there Oppfan. Tony probably paid a pretty penny to own that race track. I can't imagine he would be willing to just sit around and let his investment continue to take hits like last weekend.

I think Princeton,MN had 4 WoO shows until they stopped a couple years ago cuz Dollansky was doing all the work I guess, whatever the reason, place was sold out every year, but for those that were at the first WoO race at Princeton, you will never forget the crap being thrown into the stands, all the stands, during sprint heat races and sprint feature. It was unbelievable. Never saw anything like that before. Wasn't so much dust as thick pieces of ?? dust/dirt. The next 3 years were much much much better. Better track prep. But that is the worst dust/dirt I've ever been hit with at any race in 40 years.

Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.
