It's Antioch time again which means really, really long beer lines. I am hoping the track steps up this time and actually has more than one person in the beer stand. Last year it was 50 or 60 people deep .... no joke.

This is my last race in Cali so it's party time. We are taking the Bart and cab to the track again.

I wouldn't go to that joint if the beer was free and there were no lines. I can't say I'm sober but I CAN say that I have been Antioch free since 1997. Proud of that one.....

Living in the East Bay, any time 410's are at Antioch .... it's a must see event (only twice a year). Security sucks, long beer & food lines, a rowdy crowd and a packed grandstand (by practice) .......but the racing is usually decent ..... especailly since they made the track longer at 3/8 mile. Last year T. Walker & JA had a terrific battle for the spring race.

I was surprised to see Petaluma run wing 360's Saturday night against Antioch. Usually Petaluma is off on wing sprints to help Antioch car count with three or four cars to fill out the back of the field. Are the two promoters brothers??

The promoters are brothers from what I've heard or at least related but according to the people I've talked to they hate eachother and are somehow different. Say what you want but a Soares is a Soares so I've been Petaluma free for some time too now.

I know the guy who kept little girls in his back yard in Antioch is in prison too so perhaps that is who you were referring to?

Well now that perp who kept little girls in his back yard was actually outside of Antioch in a rural area kinda like that little town outside of Chico called Dayton.

i know one is 360 and one is 410, and there is a difference, even though they are both winged. that said if it wasn't a GSC show i would say that antioch scheduled against petaluma. petaluma usually runs winged sprints most sat nights and antioch has scheduled winged 360 shows against the silver cup, the johnny key race, and other well known winged 360 shows in the area lately. all the good tracks that have shut down over the years and that s--t hole is still going! it will most likely out last them all! gotta say though i did see a race after the track was re-done, just to check it out and the track was much better. they need to burn the rest down and start over.

Ooooh! That's a good one and I actully anticipated you might say this. However.......in your case it's guilt by association. We're never reffered to as Chico or unincorporated Butte County because we have our own community name. Nice try though :-). You going to Watsonville too?

I'll be in Antioch Saturday night. Can't pass up a sprint car race that is only a 20 minute drive from my doorstep plus I haven't seen the track since they reconfigured it. I can probably be found in the beer line!

Hey Paul, what time are you leaving for Watsonville? If you can pick me up and drop me off in Martinez I'll split the gas $ and buy you a couple of beers at Ocean. I live one mile west and a half mile south of the intersection of highways 4 and 680.
