I believe that racing should create a new term -- "Milka Chicane."
After qualifying something in the area of 10 mph off the pace for the St. Petersburg race, she had the potential to be a "moving chicane" throughout the race. Fortunately she lasted only seven laps and finished last in the field due to "handling" problems. Isn't that a term that the NASCAR "start and park" drop outs use frequently?

Does Indy Car racing have a minimum speed requirement? My guess is no because they are hurting for cars. or should I call them computers on wheels?

Haven't heard or seen anything on this.

They do need a minimum speed. Maybe the IRL quietly parked her.

You might want to keep an eye out on some WoO races, where local Field Fillers, even some 360's, are quite a ways off the pace of the top Outlaw guys, and are lapped within 2-3 laps of taking the green flag. Whats the difference?

I agree i am not saying the field fillers elsewhere are any better, each series should come up with some rules towards minumum speeds...then again i am all about NASCAR taking the top 43 times...period!

Being a field filler myself whenever the Outlaws come to Lowe's Motor Speedway, I can tell you first hand that it can't get extremely scary knowing the greatest race car drivers in the world are about to blow by you like your stopped.
BUT, its still a blast idling along the greatest ever, Steve Kinser during the warm up laps. Its the closest I'll ever get to being an Outlaw, and I don't mind!

Thanks McLain,, that was great.
Don't worry....some on here are just "jealous" they can't even get to do what you are doing.
Keep doing it....and enjoying it!

BMcLain21...I totally agree with you! One the most fun times I ever had was at Tri-City Speedway in Haubstadt IN at a WoO show. I didn't qualify last (with my 360) and started in the back of the heat. As soon as the leaders were a half a lap ahead and I couldn't see them anymore I pulled in. (About two laps if that.) I did get to run the B and got to watch and race with my hero Tim Engler as he put his car in the A main. I was fortunate enough to beat Kraig Kinser that night (he had a dnf ).
Good times!
