I went out there to see what was going on. Since Wednesday is calling for rain I figured I better get out there tonight.

Mark has put in a transponder system that way laps can be done by computer. He also has added new clay to the track.

There was a handfull of what looked to be emods, couple of reg mods one ot two pros, the same for minis, 5 sprints which 3 were the non-wing cars.

One of the non-wing drivers is Gil White.

I went also.Brent Swift was there too with his new car,new paint job, salmon and gray and black and a new ASCS engine. I've never seen a motor jerk and twist a sprint car like that,a lot of torque.Plus he done a wheel stand so high he almost flipped the car straight back on its top You ASCS guys better look out for Swift. Too much car for me,I'm chicken.

Man I got allot to say about the looks of the #5 car. It's flat and has no curb appeal. Put some outlines and shadows around the numbers at least. There is no reason to think that it looks good when a simple outline would make all the the difference.

The car looks good but it does not looked finished.

Did they do anything as far as upgrading the bleachers at Brill? I have only been there 1 time and they made me nervous!

Can I change my name to ModifiedFanRob?

I e-mailed them and they said a rail was put in the center of the grandstands... Maybe it will help I will check it out Saturday... YES I am going, where the hell else is there anywhere to go any closer to OKC to watch sprint cars. Even if I have said before I wouldn't go back, seems like thru the years drivers always say the same thing about tracks as well then they show up again LOL... It's been a long winter and I can't help it I am a sprint car addict maybe they got a Santa Suit as well LOL...

Bandit19 is Mike Howard and took the two pictures that are posted here so I am sure he was there taking shots. Click on his name and you can send him an email to inquire if he took a picture of your car. He has shot pictures at Fairgrounds Speedway in OKC for many of years.

The climb up the grandstand can be a chore for some. If you'd rather not do the steps up the grandstand you can bring your lawn chairs and sit with a good view of the front straight and turn 1. Rest rooms and snack bar right there. Bring a quilt or sleeping bag to wrap up in Saturday night... or a good coat.
