Can some help me out alittle with setups. I am running the URSS 305 series. I am running 3x5 wing. I seem to fight the car alittle more when the track takes rubber. i cant seem to get it to run off the lr like they are suppose. THe car runs the best when the track is dry slick. The car has to much rr bite it seems like when it rubbers or has good bite. I am running 1025 bars on the right side and 1000 bars on the left side blocked 3 on the front and 4 on the rear.
Also how does changing torsion bars on the car affect it. Like if i put a 975 in the lr what would it or what should i look for as a driver.

I believe this is a common problem in the rubber, really makes you muscle up in the seat. Putting a smaller bar in the LR would help the car to turn, and help the car sit on the LR more. I would also trying moving the LR wheel in a bit and the RR wheel out the same distance. This is my opinion, hopefully you will get some more input.
If it seems that with each lap at speed that the car is rolling over onto the RR more and more, you need to add more tie down in the LR shock.

yes that is exactlly what seems to be doing. it just gets tighter and tighter and wants to use the rr more and more.
I am just looking for a general tuning guide for using torsion bars as adjustments.

Just like what was said above. Go to a softer bar in the left rear, and tie it down a little more. Move the left rear in, and the right rear out. Do what you would do if the track was very tacky at the start of the night.

If your driver can get comfortable driving on the RR on dry/quickley turning to rubber IMO you'll just have to buck up in the seat and remember to conserve the tires untill your ready to go forward , watch the cars around you, if potential positions are missing the rubber sit up in the seat and get thier positions before they find the rubber, trouble with getting the car on the LR too much on a dry track is youll buzz the RR way to easy Too many other variations ,(track length, wing speed , ect) I think what has been remarked upon here previously is pretty close to your needs , remeber the shock change can be made easily on red , if the track changes and your lucky enuff to catch a open red, do the switcharoo for sure! always have a plan B.. besides your crew will love having something to change besides adding air .

By the way, I suggest only making one of those changes at a time. Personally, I would start with moving your wheels. Your bar choice seems good.

Hi Michael,
I wanted to give you a few thoughts as to your setup question. Keep in mind the 3x5 wing will make a car act much more like a non-winged car than with a 5x5. With that I mean the car loads the left rear/counters the centrifugal forces less. Thus it will tend to run harder on the RR. When a track takes rubber, basically you have more traction than with any other condition and have to adjust the setup accordingly. To directly answer your question, I would keep a close eye on your shock travel. Thats a real indicator of how each corner is reacting. If your car is hard on the RR with a rubber racetrack, I would try going to 1.050 right side bars and keep your left side at 1.000. Moving the RR out will also help, as will a stiffer RR shock. If its really bad, you can also try +1/2 turn into both right side bars.
Feel free to email if you have any questions. Hope this helps.

thanks for the info every one.
Patrick that makes alot of sense. I new these smaller wings made the car more like a non wing car but never thought about it like the way you put it. i no most nights i had more rr travel than i did lr travel. that will give me plenty to think about and stuff to remeber for this year.
