You have mentioned pictures you have taken a few times, so I'm guessing you are a photographer..(duh?) Do you have much for vintage photos (70's and early '80's), and if you do, what region...also wondering if you have a website where we can see some of your shots......Thanx.
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.

He didn't even know what a race car was in that time frame. He is just a guy who jumped on the gypsy bandwagon. Guess what? They finally figured him out & booted him off.

Yeah, I took and sold a few photos, more than anyone else in sprint car history and the losers who have done nothing in the sport get a little upset when this is brought up. Tens of thousands (enlargements), including about 5,600 of a single shot of Steve and Sammy, lol. I think I was the only sprint car photog in history to do it full time for about a decade. There were better ones, still are, but nobody covered it like I did and this brings out some severe jealousy amongst the cheerleaders in this thread.
Dey dey, is a wanna be mechanic who can barely keep a wing clean and duties more than that are a big challenge, he's another Posse cheerleader who hates the facts. I was going to races before he was born in all likelihood and certainly before the other buffoons Hawker and BRR, guys who do most of their racing on the internet, lmao.
I can't help with the decade you are talking about but Gene Marderness most certainly could, he's one of the best there ever was and his file photos are among the best available. A great guy to deal with and knowledge and work that belongs on a pedestal, check him out. There are other greats like Mike Arthur and Al Consoli who would likely have anything and all you are looking for, good luck. Take It Easy.....

So are there published numbers so we can see how you sold the most
in sprint car history("tens of thousands" ? Did you claim all the money you made? Did you
file as a US citizen? Did you pay taxes here or in your homeland? What is the real deal there???
"More than anyone else in sprint car history" I think that sounds a bit inflated, possibly like most of your thoughts of yourself.

Ask 'em slide n, it means little to me what anyone thinks. What is important to me was the fun I had chassing sprinters for that decade on the road and the years before I did it full-time. I incurred a lot of expenses travelling those years and my tax returns reflected them, lol. I never filed as a US citizen because I never was one but I have a current and valid Social Security Number and can work at any time in your fine country. I only bring those numbers up when attacked, there were many better photographers than me who with the right opportunity could have done what I did, but they didn't. My Knoxville National years alone would surprise you with the quantity of photos sold during that short time, but it's all water under the bridge now. Unlike my enemies in this forum I worked in the business and achieved a matter of success, that drives 'em crazy and always will, lol. Heck, my two winters in Australia were likely my most successful and having had my photos sold over there for years after was a wonderful bonus. I also had dealers set-up in various parts of the USA thanks mainly to my NASCAR years who sold countless numbers of photos to boot. Marketing was something I learned a long time ago and put it to good use in the photo business, thanks 3M, lol. Take It Easy.....
PS Thanks for the kind words there jknville, you can count on a healthy share of photos headin' your way again later this year, the work you do, for the people you do is unmatched in sprint car charity in this country methinks.....

And to add to jknxville's assessment of Mike. His fuzzy photo image is unfounded, especially those he plagiarized from other shooters. LOL, No, he was and still is a great photographer. He provided a service, traveling from tract to track with a number of organizations and paid their fees and the promoters fees for the rights to sell his wares. I doubt that his sales numbers claims represent fuzzy math, through the years he sold a ton of stuff. Just hanging around his booth at the Chili Bowl you could see the nonstop business he did. He did it all in a very professional manner and bent over backwards to provide special shots and pictures and the specific needs for everyone. I missed him at the Chili Bowl this year as I know countless others did also.
And slide in, the real deal here is, mind your own business.

Come on Mikey, least you could do is give a plug to Doug Haack!
Doug probably owns the biggest collection of old race negatives (from almost all flavors of the sport) numbering somewhere in the hundreds of thousands. He sells on Ebay and directly through his website....during the offseason you can find him at many different trade shows displaying a small part of his collection.
Website is http://www.vintageracingphotos.net/
anyone with a collection to sell should contact him also, he's interested in buying everything he can.
Kevin Eckert, visit Doug's website and shoot him an email. I'm sure he could help you match photo's to your results in exchange for a link.

That dang triple exposed shot rears it's ugly head again, arghhh. Wertz and I came up with that name 'fuzzy photos' and I even put up a big sign one year at the Nationals. Fuzzy Photos by MSPN and donated one of them to the Hoser of the Year get together at the Hall of Fame. A year or so later I bought/traded it back at the Nationals. It was one of my favorite photos of Dean Jacobs in that beautiful Frigidaire car and I would have it hangin' up right now if I new where it was, arghhh. Take It Easy....
Roger, I missed you and everybody this year at the Chili Bowl, it would have been nice to be there without having to work my booth, I never have got to to that yet....

Speedbump, I have negotiated another deal with Doug as well. He owns the vast majority of everything I ever shot and when I get around to sending the next batch of negs to him he will own about 99.9%. He is amazing with his recollection, almost up there with Kevin with regards to cars, dates etc. These are two peas in a pod kinda guys, for sure. Take It Easy...
