During the live broadcast on Thursday night at East Bay, they interviewed Wayne Johnson before the racing ever started. One of the subjects brought up was the Goodyear tire deal. Wayne then proceeded to literally insult the Goodyear tire, saying it wouldnt be good for the sport and that the tires were no good, as he learned at Volusia that "they fall off by 3/10's of a second consistantly each lap." He also said how it isn't gonna help by having the 360 guys have to buy them for WoO races and other sanctions. Then he gets spanked by Shafer the next 2 nights as Shafer has 3 good years on and what does Wayne do, but bolt on some Goodyears. So what is it Wayne, are the Goodyears still a bad deal or what, as they just put $14,500 in your pocket. If they fell off by 3/10's, then how bad did the Hoosiers fall off? Not good P.R,. work on W.J.'s part.

What is the deal with people on these boards? Does anyone actually think before they post, read what they post, or understand what they post? Nevermind, I answered my own question.
The pictures don't show WJ having goodyears on his car. There is a goodyear on the LR. And how would running 3 goodyears contribute to Shaffer's good fortune? Is he running a 4wd car?

My question is; was there anyone selling hoosier LR's at the track?
Some of you bleacher warmers might not realize that sometimes there's only one tire vendor at a track. If you need a new tire bad, that's what your stuck with buying.

? If " they fall off by 3/10's of a second in a consistantly each lap." (?) Wouldn't they fall off that same "3/10's of a second in a consistantly each lap." for all the drivers using them in the race? Like in a WoO race, for example?

My only point here is this. He tossed Goodyear under the bus, in a very obvious way, yet at the end of the day, had a Goodyear product on his car when the big money was on the line. I am quite sure there was a Hoosier tire truck there, as the Hoosier tire is mandated at all ASCS races on the Right rear.

not sure thats really talking out both sides of his mouth. I mean - he got beat by 2 nights in a row by someone running goodyears - so when it comes to finale - what the hell do you have to lose?
I would imagine he came to feel a little differently about them after the first 2 prelim nights lol. I bet he would admit it too. he was 0-fer runnin hoosier - then sticks goodyear on and wins. Although lets be honest - the tires were not why he won. He needed a lot of luck (bad luck for Wright and Shaffer). I think dude just didnt run all that well the first 2 nights. Finally got it going in the finale - and then was just where he needed to be in order to be the beneficiary of others bad luck.
Its a great win either way. Best thing that could possibly happen when searching for a ride? win $14,500!!!
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a
wouldchuck could chuck would

...and I think everyone else's point is...you are a "Keyboard Commando" hiding behind a fake screen name, and have no idea what went down at East Bay. Neither Tim nor Wayne own their cars, but I noticed the Goodyear decal on Tim's wing.
If this post isn't results, stories or something c
constructive, it isn't me!

It seems bigpimpnhose (sp?) and dirtracer84 are the same person with the same sick agenda. The posts remind me of folks who struggle with "small man syndrome". Get over it. Stupidity is not a handicap: Please park somewhere else!!

I didn't need to be there to watch the live interview and hear what was said by Wayne. I think he was a bit harsh on the Goodyear deal and hasnt fairly given them a chance.
