"I predict the list of fast, fast teams there is too long for Lances race preview."
This statement seems like a BIG stretch. I appreciate what Kearns is doing Pete but I think your stretching the rubber band a bit to much here. These are teams with good competitive intentions. Hell, even the CRA 410's are struggling to have a lengthy list of "fast-fast" teams now days. Would you be so kind to post your list of these "fast-fast" teams so we can see who you consider as such? Remember, it needs to be a long list.

Thanks for the thought provoking response tasser.
What your post implies is that this group is short on talent bar a couple of teams. I beg to differ with you. First we can get some terms straight…long is a subjective term but to me it is more than a few. Not a specific quantity but most definitely more than a short list. Second, I am basing my point on history. Third, my points are based on performance.
These are the reasons you or any other fan would enjoy watching this group, even over the CRA brand where the economy and other considerations are taking its toll. There are reasons why the 360 brand is worthy of patronage.
Davey Pombo is a force to be reckoned with, he has the team and resources to be fast. A multiple time champ has everything in place to dominate. What is more powerful is his mental toughness and determination. He has the fire in the belly. I agree, not a long list so far.
Justyne Hamlin is a sprint car Champion and local favorite who is proven fast. If you saw her win on the high side at Santa Maria a few years ago she is on the list of contenders.
Rusty Carlile- a perennial contender for the title and very, very fast every time he hits the track. There is one two car team that is fast, fast…the VanderWeerd brothers. Neither one cancels each other. Jace and Richard are realistic contenders for any win, any time, any where. Jonathon Logan is another Champ with speed. He has what it takes to be a factor doesn't he?
There are some other youngsters that have a few seasons on them that I count here, Wes Gutierrez from Gilroy way. He has had some strong wins too. Wes's buddy T.J. Smith is fast if nothing else. He can stand on the throttle and be a contender. Jonathon Henry shows up big, especially in big races. He has some All Coast victories to his credit. A fast guy.
Down home "Hollywood" Danny Faria is one of the fastest of the fast. One of the most determined and exciting racers in our neck of the woods, Dan has been his best when there is a big race. Remember those Grand Slam races?
Steven Williams is a guy that loves Tulare and is on my surprise you fast list. Ricky Kirkbride is another kid with a couple of years under his belt that has proven to be fast too. Tyler Schmidt was very close to wins a couple of seasons ago and fast.
'Junkyard" Jimmy Thompson has track records and Championship titles to fall back on and is fast. Greg Porte is another fast Champion. He doesn't run for second place.
There is a guy with fast in his name. "Fast Albert" Pombo is a dude that can win from anywhere. He has the seasoning and ability to show that fast driving style off.
Ok, I have left some off the list so far. I left off the normal winged guys that on occasion run wingless. Brent Kaeding did last year, arguable not a slug and very fast. Danny Sheridan races a lot of 360 events and is a multiple time wingless champ and very fast.
I also did not mention the winningest team of the decade with the wingless 360 lot. That is because although a significant player with these 360's, he is but a part of the group. Albeit a very fast, well liked and respected member of that family.
The other parts are that I have more likely than not left fast, fast teams off my list and apologize for that. We'll have to see just who we add to that list. We also don't know who will be making the trip from SoCal or NorCal to race the 360's and or do double duty. This race is NOT going to be short on talent.
With the magnitude of the venue and the program, it is reasonable to assume there will be some fast, fast teams ready, willing and able to fight it out for the inaugural win of the season. That is how I see it.
Take Care and hopefully se ya there...
