Anyone know of a good tax attorney or accountant familiar with racing that could help me with an audit?

It might help if you tell us which state you're in, since most attorney's are limited to where they can practice by the state bar association.......

I'd be calling Mark Burch in Lincoln, NE. Not sure if he would have time, but he's an accountant that owns a 360 car...

I believe that Johnny Mac in Jackson Mn is an accountant, he is on the radio each week and answers questions having to do with taxes and not only is he a promoter but he is a former sprint car driver...

What is the difference between a dog and an attorney standing in the road?

There are skid marks in front of the dog!!

I'd suggest finding a CPA to help you out if you are getting audited by the IRS (they deal with the IRS more than an attorney would).

I'd start by asking some of the professional racers that you know who they use .If you're in teh midwest, ask Terry McCarl or Tod Quiring - (they run a full-time team) or maybe someone like a Skip Jackson (has a regular job, but has a race team he part owns and drives) or Mark Burch (owns his own team and is a CPA as I recall).

Good luck
