Here is a link to the City Council meeting held today:

Go down to Item A under CONVENE AS OKLAHOMA CITY PUBLIC PROPERTY AUTHORITY
Mandy did a great job in her presentation and follow up. Pete White (Ward 4) and J. Brian Walters (Ward 5) were very vocal in support of our cause. The presentation and discussion is lengthy but well worth the time spent to watch our politicians in action.

After watching the link that Erich posted, makes me glad that I don't live in OKC city limits! What a bunch of beating around the bush those bunch of bias frickin' politians come up with! Walters & White are the only logical members of the council. At least they seem to be willing to help!
Seems when questioned about why the grandstands was not updated over the years, alot of stuttering from O'Foole & some of the others! Give me a break "Meg", like you really care about anything that isn't some high matainence frilly crap you want!!! What a crock of BS the OKC council is. Mick sucked as a sportscaster, a softball player & tops it all off as a piece of crap mayor. I'd bet my bottom dollar he won't get re-elected! Hell I bet he'd screw something up shoveling horsesh*t out of the nastya$$ "equine" buildings!
Thank God for living outside the "shi**y limits! Ok I'm done now! LOL

I could really GO OFF on allot of you right now for not showing the support that was needed throughout this ordeal. With all of the Racing community most of you had already given up. Man I hope you are in our next Feature Race, that will make it easy on us.
I cannot believe any such competitors would allow yourselves to be beaten so easily. We had them on the ropes, but when we turned around "nobody" was standing behind us. That indeed is a sad day for Racing.
Hope you have fun travelling with all of the expenses involved.
See Ya at the Track somewhere, and Thanks for your Support.

Those suits are scary. That city manager probably makes 3 to 4 hundred grand a year.
State fair dirt is too dirty them pretty people, they want horse shit instead,. that is obvious.
Someone failed to do the economic impact study, but then too Lanny did not bring a lot of money into the city, no Outlaw races any more. Racing is just not as big of a business as it used to be.
What a Soap Opera. Did Lanny forget to deliver those brown envelopes or what?

Sounds to me as though we're out of a speedway!!!! So now that that is done, what are we gonna do? Sit on our asses and wine or get a new track in the works? Does the city have any plans for a new track? If so is it paved or dirt? If paved can there be an associated dirt track co-located with it? Has anyone thought about working with the city council to plan for a new track?????? Has anyone thought of a new location for a new track? Maybe west of OKC along I40 between Yukon and El Reno!!!
It now seems to be time to work on these questions instead of pissin and moanin!!
