Not much of a hotbed for Sprint car racing but the Nashville State Fairgrounds Track which started racing in 1904 is in limbo right now, but will ultimately be leveled in the very near future. The (non-native) mayor of Nashville,is senseless in regards of any history for the area, for pushing in "the new".Quite a let down for people for that area that have been race fans for a long time. This race track had major banking way back but was reconfigured a couple times to lessen the banking. Very cool old place to visit to see all the memorabilia in the buildings. Here's a shot of IMCA Sprint cars there in 1966.
