Chris
It is a little more than you buying a crew membership
250.00 Driver 150.00 Car 150.00 Crew Chief 3 Crew Members 150.00 ea = $1000.00
USUC giving 450.00 in Product discounts for products not used
If you finish In 6th Place you are most likely to lose money
And what other costs are going to pop up A per race entry Fee, A pit spot fee
a transponder fee Why didn't you go talk to the USUC teams at Perris and find
out why ITS CALLED USUC !!!!!

Somebody call the whambulance.
Here is the deal, has Chris put a screwing to any of you yet? He has done more for 360 racing in Ca than any other promoter has in the last twenty years. We ran at his track alot last year and there were good calls and bad calls, but he would listen to you, make a decision and stick with it. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't. As long as he approaches each person the same way, there is no reason to have a beef with him.
You guys cried about him not going ASCS, well I was at that meeting too and what he said was that he didnt know what was on the table. He asked for input, We all asked him work on putting all the tracks under one set of rules, we told him that it was more important to have uniformed rules. He got that, as for which body it was under we said we would prefer ASCS, his response was I am going to go listen and get the best deal for you guys. He does it and you cry about how it doesnt meet your personel needs.
There is an opportunity to get money that you never had before, even it you are 20th in points its 500 more than you had last year. Hell even the main each night pays more than you got paid last year.
Last year if you got smacked in the head with a tire, it was tough shit for you. Now for 150 dollars at least you know that you will be able to pay the hospital bills, but lets cry.
A new tire cost more than membership, is anyone going to go all season with out a new tire? To my buddy above I got news for you, at 1200 to win everytime you push that car off the trailer you loose money. If you are nice enough to buy memberships for the whole crew that implys that you also buy their pit passes, if you saved 50 bucks a night on pit passes that is over a grand in 23 races, not to mention if you do that more than likely you will finish at least 20th in points, and get the 500. Holy cow you made money racing!!!!
I am in agreement with the guy who got his teeth kicked in walking down the street, I wouldnt go down that street any more either.
My final opinion is that USAC is out for themselves, the only reason they are doing this for the 360 is to try and keep ASCS out of this region. We all might as well enjoy it while it lasts, and if it changes next year we all get new ASCS stickers, or we go back to no points and no insurance and then you will probably bitch about that too.
Enough, is enough, you need ask questions before you start crying to everyone in a public forum and bad mouth people.
my $.02

Wow! Thanks Butch, sprintace, RichCee,dummy, and everyone else supporting this series and what I am trying to do. I appreciate the back up.
and maybe USAC is out for themselves. It is a business, so that makes sense. Nice thing is, USAC doesnt own the series, I do.

Chris, sure hope that USAC also thinks they can give out all the perks, money, insurance, name and not own anything. Some people are in the watch and see mode. Some in the hate USAC mode and some are in full support of the series. I am a champion for the car owners and drivers, their families in the stands, the crew chiefs, the tire changers and the mud scrapers. They are the real owners of any series. They put on the show. Give all you can to them Chris they are your bread and butter NOT some corporate pencil pushers back east. Wish you the best and good luck.

It's not bad. USAC has become somewhat more user friendly since Kevin Miller arrived. I think much of the old attitude is gone. The fact that Miller posts on the IOW board and Chris posts here and on the DLM board means they are not hiding in the Batcave and are willing to listen and answer questions. Message boards are considered suicide by some of the old guard promoters and I'm sure both have taken heat for posting.
It would be neat to know what insurance, point fund, etc ASCS offered. I know the NSRA with ASA had 500k coverage but the media and sponsor support sucked with zero point fund and the membership was $200.00 a year. I'm looking foward to hearing what the newguys at Kings have to say today.
Geez, I had fun.

This actually sounds like it could become a very good series for all of the central valley racers. I wish it wasn't such a long pull up over the Grapevine. As far as I'm concerned that is the biggest obstacle for me to run this series. As it is I will still try to pull up there for a few of them. Thanks Chris for looking into the injector nozzle placement rule!

Okay, I joined USAC today. My only other question is whether or not we are required to have one-way radios like the other USAC divisions are.

Chris -
Here is a question for you, does the west coast USAC membership make you a member for other USAC events like CRA?
Thanks

Memberships are $250 for drivers and $150 for crewmembers. The driver memberships will include discount pit pass rates at all USAC tracks and eligibility for both the $20,000 championship point fund and the $5,000 SouthWest Contractors 360 Clash point fund.

You can run both series but are only eligible for points and points fund in the division you are a member.
No, you do not have to have 1 way radios. Although I would really like to get to the point where we use them. They are a huge time saver and make the show run much smoother. Remember, the smoother the show, the happier the fans are, the more likely tracks will want the series.

I really wouldn't mind going to one way radios eventually. I get tired of 20-30 yellow flag laps to get the line-up right. Some guys can't seem to remember who they were following before the yellow came out. I figure the amount we would save in fuel would pay for the radios before too long.

Can anyone tell me if the crew member passes are generic, meaning can I buy 3 and use them at any of the 4 tracks but not required to have a membership assigned to a certain party. I could takedifferent pit people during the season using the 3 membership passes. Is this correct ?????????????????
In regards to Chris Kearns. I have driving cars since 1989 and quit when my son starting driving. Chris Kearns has been extremely fair and honest with us everytime we had a question. He is a great breath of fresh air when you look at promotors. My thought as a driver and car owner, were simply, "I don't care how you screw us as long as you screw us equally".
Chris does not fit the above statement. He has always returned phone calls in a short time. He always make a fair decision whether you agree or disagree with him. We will continue to support his track when it is scheduled.

USAC WEST COAST 360 MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.
These Memberships are now available at USACRacing.com or just go to https://www.usacracing.com/membership/account_login.html
You can run either series with your membership, but you can only earn points in the series that you are a member in. I actually just purchased a crew membership, just to have the added insurance.
You must be a USAC West Coast 360 member if you attend more than 1 event. Driver Memberships are $250 for the year. Crew memberships are $150. With your membership you will receive the following: USAC West Coast 360 Memberships will include discount pit pass rates at all USAC tracks . The best insurance policy I have seen yet. Like I said, I have even purchased one for the insurance. Drivers will be eligible for the $20,000 points fund, the $5000 SouthWest Contractor Mini Series points fund and the end of year drawing, which will include a New set of Integra Racing Shocks, and other give aways.. With your West Coast 360 membership packet drivers will receive Product certificates from the following companies. $30 off from Crow Enterprises, $100 off from Hinchman-Indy Racing Uniforms, $50 off from DJ Safety, $200 off from Kruseman Driving School, $25 off from Kaeding Performance, $50 off from Extreme Mufflers, 10% off from SafeRacer.com, 25% from Amsoil

Chris,
Can you use a crew membership for any party and do not have to name the crew member ? Meaning I could buy 3 pit crew memberships and use them with different pit crew people at different races ???????????????????

Memberships are just like at a race track. The USAC membership is for an indivisual. You get a card with your name on it and that is also the name the insurance goes under.. Yes they are good at all 4 tracks
