Great book for any race fan, especially N. California fans. An excellent job by the author/photographer Dennis Mattish. Lots of b&w and color photos, old racing posters and programs etc.
I got mine already and I am really enjoying filling in the gaps in my N. Ca. racing knowledge.

It states that I am a Rookie on Hoseheads Forum. That is true, I have no idea who is posting these letters, but I am grateful for their kind words about the book. I have been getting very positive responses on the quality and content. If you are into Sprint Car and Super Modified racing in Northern and Central California, this is a must have.
By the way, I am in the preliminary stages of doing a second book. This book would feature such tracks as Baylands/Fremont, Watsonville/Ocean, Bay Meadows, Belmont and other tracks.
