I see that Huset's speedway only has one date this year. I may be wrong but I think it's been quite awhile since Huset's has had only one outlaw date. After not getting a single outlaw show in last year (once for weather, once for unknown reasons) I guess just getting on the schedule is a plus.
One nice addition (IMO) to the schedule is Cedar Lake Speedway. I'll be looking forward to that one!

Cedar Lake has been hosting a World of Outlaws Sprint Car race every season since July of 1983.

Made my first visit to Cedar Lake last year and it's a great facility - kind of way out in the wilderness, but a nice size track.
Went from Hartford, MI to Beaver Dam to Cedar Lake, and then returned home through the UP of Michigan and back to Western Michigan. Long drive, but very cool.

I've commented about Cedar Lake before here. Went to Cedar Lake two years in a row about 10 years ago. I always get to new tracks early to get a good seat, was there about 4:30pm the first year and almost all the best front straight-away seats had blankets taped to them. Never saw anything like that before. They opened the gates at 3pm and people apparently sent their kids to the track to do this, or whatever, cuz there didn't seem to be anyone around that would be occupying those seats. The next year we got there earlier and sat in the truck for way to many hours and brother it was a hot day---air-conditioner was working hard. Don't know if they still open the gates at 3pm and allow people to tape off large areas. Great race track though and was great racing. Might try to get over there this year, but the idea of driving thru Minneapolis-StPaul on 694 causes pain.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

Might as well not schedule the spring date. It usually gets rained out and last year when they could have ran it they called it two days in advance because of "excessive rain and cold". It was sunny and 55 degrees on race day. What do you expect in South Dakota in April/May?

My first trip to Cedar Lake was last year for the Jerry Richert Memorial race. If you don't want to deal with the large crowd and people taping off seats for the outlaw race, I would strongly suggest The J. Richert memorial. I was thuroughly impressed with the show last year. I do understand the attraction of seeing the outlaws though. I will try to make the WoO race this year.
I hear ya' on the 694 route. That's the route that I took last year, and although I didn't mind it I can understand the frustration. It seems to me that you could go further north an go through Anoka, MN and across the St. Croix and avoid all the pains of the Cities. I'm not sure where you are coming from, it may be quite a ways out of the way. And you wouldn't get to go through Stillwater, MN which is my favorite part of the drive.

Yeah that was BS. I drove by the track that day at about 5pm and it looked perfectly fine to me. Sunny and 55 sounds better to me than 90 degrees with 80% humidity, which is usually what it's like in July.
