* Double File Restarts throughout the entire race night
* No cone, leader will be given the lane choice along with dictating the start coming out of turn 4
* Eliminating non-qualifier races
* Dash - Top 2 finishers in each heat plus the top 2 fastest qualifiers, if you have 5 heats you could have 12 cars in the dash
* Eliminating the redraw, qualifying time based inversion of 4, 6 or 8 will determine the Dash lineup
* Allotted time in the work area reduced to one minute
* Open red flag, only two crew members will be permitted to attend to the car
* Time Trials - No matter on the car count, each car will be given 2 laps unless weather is a factor

What does this mean? So there won't be a B-main? Do you have to get in through the heat? Am I missing something?

The explanation I saw was that this rule will kick into effect when they have large fields. I'm not sure of the cutoff number but the way I understood it it's the cars that don't time fast enough to make one of the Heats won't get a last chance race.
I don't like two wide restarts in the Late Models. You know what I'm talking about Chad because you have seen where an official gets out on the track and points hi, lo, hi, lo as the field goes past. That adds a couple of laps to every yellow so if it's a race with a lot of cautions it's going to add some time to the show.

Yeah, can't have Steve or Donny sitting in the work area while the race is underway can we!
Also depends when they start the "one minute" clock! From the time the car comes to a stop in the work area? From the time the first crew member touches it? From the time the first WoO official arrives to time it? Who knows? Good luck on being consistent on that rule, although I do like a time limit so as not to drag the show on forever.

I believe Non-Qualifier races are when you have a field of cars over 50. Cars that time 51 and on usually would go to a NQ race and usually the top 2 or so would transfer to the C Main. With the Outlaws dropping the NQ race everyone will be placed into a Heat race therefore the number of heats will go up.
My thought is this rule would only come into affect at big money shows. I can only remember a hand of Outlaw shows where they had over 50 cars.

Well, I don't care for that rule. I don't see how that promotes locals in racing. The car counts are not very big so maybe this rule won't happen. I guess I will reserve judgment of this rule until I see it in action.
I hear you. As a driver and fan I am against double file restarts. The drivers work hard and deserve to keep their position. I agree it adds to the caution laps because there is always somebody who is confused on where they should line up. I don't have actual facts to back this up but I feel double file restarts will lead to more yellow and reds.
Oh, well. There's usually a little controversy each off-season. Cars will still go in circles and I will be having fun although it will be more fun when I am going in circles.

Wouldn't raceceivers help to get them lined up quickly for the restarts?

The minute starts when the Stewart and Kahn cars signal that they need a push truck.
I'm not serious...it's all good and I have no complaints. I just try to get out and have a good time with good friends during the summer. If a race happens to break out it's a bonus.

From an excitement standpoint for the fans double file restarts are great. When I've been on my feet for six hours and it's one of those full moon nights where they can't go for more than two laps without a caution lining the cars up double file is going to take longer. Photographers get kind of testy towards the end of the night because they can't crack open their first beer in the campground until the victory lane celebration is over.
