I am a local mini stock driver and I am trying to learn how to get sponsers. I am either looking for some sponsers for my mini stock or looking for information on how to find some people who may be interested in sponsering me. Please someone let me know.

Thanks

Sponsers and raising money is the toughest thing. Without SFS OKC sponsers will dry up, I hope not but Sponsers like to be able to go watch their car race.

1. Look around where your going to race.

2. A sponser has to be a fan of racing and the class you race in.

3. Keep a good lookin car and offer some shows at their buss.

4. Seeze any opportunity when approached by someone intrested. Let them tell you what they want and try to provide any and all request.

5. Represent yourself well look and act the part.

6. Send either weekly or monthly news letters to them and invite them out to watch. Taking someones money and then never hearing from you again will result in a one time sponsership.

7. No money to big or small, there is lots of room on that car so utilize every inch.

8. A Sponser wants to see thier car in the winner circle

If I would practice what I preach I probably would have more sponsers but the ones I have have been loyal for years. Sponsership in this economic time is going to be difficult and I wish you the best of luck.

Have your car washed and clean at all times especially when you unload it at the track is a must. Also don't wear your hat around backwards..... LOLSmile

Remember there are other kinds of useful sponsorships besides money sponsors. I think this is a vastly overlooked area of sponsorship. Perhaps a business cannot offer you money, but their SERVICES. Maybe what they are offering isn't useful for the racecar, but could benefit you personally. My point is just because you cannot use it on the racecar, does not mean it is not useful. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!
