USAC is launching a National Driver of the Year competition for 2010. It will count the top 25 finishes for each driver among the national Silver Crown, Sprint and Midget series, paying the top ten drivers with a $40k bonus for first.

They need to do something. They lost Indy, Ft Wayne and now the Little 5 plus numerous sponsors fleeing the ranks. Maybe if they would start racing sprint cars things would pick up.

I'll say this though, anytime they say something like, like NASCAR did it, I'm worried.
