SCHATZ NAMED DRIVER OF THE YEAR AGAIN
FARGO - (Jan. 14) - On the heels of his fourth consecutive World of Outlaws championship season, Donny Schatz was named the 2009 Driver of the Year by the North American 410 Sprint Car Poll voting panel of media members, promoters, sanctioning officials and manufacturers. Schatz, who recently wrapped up another successful Australian tour, collected 22 of the possible 30 first place votes to earn his fourth consecutive "Driver of the Year" crown.
Numerous victories including a season-opening charge from 23rd to first, his second Kings Royal triumph, 12 total World of Outlaws wins, and his fourth consecutive Knoxville Nationals championship cemented the award for Schatz.
Schatz will conclude the "Award and Banquet" portion of the year on Saturday by attending AARWBA's 40th All America Team Awards Banquet in Brownsburg, Ind.
The Fargo, ND racer is scheduled to begin his 2010 racing season behind the wheel of Tony Stewart Racing's No. 15 Armor All/ParkerStore sponsored J&J in a couple weeks when the All-Star Circuit of Champions take the green flag at Ocala Speedway

What a joke! Didn't win a race after Aug 22. Average finish was 5.4 compared to Saldana that won 6 and averaged 2.3 in the same period. You want to give him the team award that KKR got for top team then that seems more appropriate. Saldana most wins, lead the most laps and won more money.

The Man! The U.S., Australia, doesn't matter, he is the man. Congrats to our North Dakota champion on another award. Number 5 championship in twenty-ten. Will be very tough though.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

Pretty sure it's for the year, not just after Aug. 22.

Can't use "drive for five", that's already been used, have to come up with something new, he but has to be odds on favorite to do her 5 in a row. Move over Jimmy Johnson!! I'll take Schatz over Johnson for gittin her done.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.
