The WoO have changed their schedule to TBA for March 12th & 13th. I would love to see a local track pick up those dates and stick it to Chico. Maybe an Ocean & Santa Maria weekend or Petaluma, Calistoga or Kings weekend?

The car count would be low (20 to 30) but it's still worth it to see the WoO drivers. I'm sure some of the Bay area 410 drivers would rather race these tracks vs. Chico and the much smaller purse. Plus, you already have Goodyears from the Tulare & the $125 membership fee. Might as well get some use out of it.

Scott as a huge supporter of winged 410 racing on the west coast I have to say that would be a very, very bad move. Fans would lose in that scenario and so would the tracks. What some people don't realise is the WoO have virtually priced themselves out of all smaller venues. It is simply too risky for a track to take on the financial risk of a WoO show these days. I am certain that if WoO schedules an event in Cali on the 12-13th it will dilute the fields for both the Mini and the WoO, again the fans lose. This is just a shitty deal no matter how you look at it.

It would be awesome if WoO announced a 15k win show at another track. That would draw some cars and people!

I for one, am glad it is not a WoO race! It wasn't for many years and I always had a great time, when it didn't rain... As for the late change in the schedule we don't know why it happened but in the last week they have completely changed the Northwest ASCS Speedweek, added some tracks, removed others and the 410 Speedweek on the way to Skagit was just recently announced, all after a lot of people had their vacations scheduled. So, it may be irratating to some people but we don't know why the Mini Gold Cup was changed but I sure wouldn't want a promoter to get stuck like Lasoski and Pennington recently did. Also, George Wade took a beating after last years Outlaw rainout at Elma, so either go see a race or stay home.

In a thread on the main board at Hoseheads, Johnny Gibson has stated that the WoO have scheduled the Mar. 12-13 dates for Texas.

So we won't see any WoO teams at Chico for the Mini and that breaks up the haul back to Tenn. from Tulare for them.

Well everyone got what they wanted. Who needs to the WoO ...... the tires are too much, memberhsip fees, high ticket prices, expensive purse, ....... I would rather see another weekly show, just like we see every week from April til' September. Can't wait for that one. Who needs to see Kinser, Haud, Shatz, Saldana, Meyers, Lasoski ........

No offense but you might be over reacting just a bit. The MGC has not and will not be like another weekly show. A driver like TK has 12 thousand reasons to be in the field. I've attended this race many years with and without Outlaw sanctioning and the talent at this event is always special. You really ought to treat yourself to this and the Bradway Memorial. When I make the trip to Silver Dollar it's not for another weekly show.

This B.S. reminds me of Oh Handy waiting until friday to cancel the races last year, while friends of mine had come to camp for the entire week from So-Cal,when track conditions were gonna be so awful! Did the 10 car sell that shitty dirt to Chico? If so I would imagine that they can have it back! lol Some might want to wait until much later in the year to get tickets to the gold cup, cuz its quite obvious that things can change at the drop of a hat. Has Handy been at a casino or on vacation , cuz they haven't said much if anything in reguards to this BULLSHIT.. U wanted the best and will have to settle for a sprint car race!

They haven't said much of anything because they don't come on the boards. From what I heard was that no one from Handy was to post on the boards. If you have questions call the office. Its not that hard they have an email and phone number on every single one of their web pages under contact info. But since that seems to have eluded you let me make it easy on you....

C'mon, dirt, are you kidding?

Everyone knows that message boards are no place to get facts! Even if Handy has someone posting here, they'd just get bashed and flamed. Get real!

Sarcasm off, now.

Folks would rather complain and bash rather than try to get facts.......
