good point cubic.........why would anybody want the demise of WoO? especially considering there demise leads to no national 410 touring series? I kinda wonder if they may be fudgin the #'s to get a little "assisstance"? I don't know exactly how that works.........but a lot of large and small businesses try it.

BRR why do you still hate on the WoO? without them your Posse has no real competition on the porch. The Posse just beats up on each other all year........the WoO visits are a pleasant change from that for all of the PA sprint car fans. I would think most fans in that area appreciate the rivalry and quality of racing. Obviously there are a couple of exceptions.

That's a very good point about the rivalry between WoW and the Posse. When USAC moved in over here we lost a tradition and rivalry that had been going for more than 50 years and I can tell you that for more than a few of us " It's just not the same". It has been homogenised and smoothed out.

I hope that never happens to the Posse, the boys who run at the Grove and all the guys who love taking a shot at the outlaws. It's what makes it "special".

MSPN, do you have to bring up how bad the former-NST'ers have had their asses handed to them by the WoO faithful these past two seasons? Have a little heart, you callous bastard...laughing

Current 2007 World of Outlaw Point Standings:

  1. Donny Schatz 1449
  2. Joey Saldana 1442
  3. Daryn Pittman 1362
  4. Craig Dollansky 1314
  5. Terry McCarl 1311
  6. Brooke Tatnell 1303
  7. Danny Lasoski 1299
  8. Tim Kaeding 1277
  9. Kerry Madsen 1265
  10. Steve Kinser 1252

Hey MSPN, let's look at where the other top ten from last years WOO are sitting in the points or how many have already quit racing with the tour...................I know, maybe we should just look at them all as racecar drivers and not NST or WOO. In other words GET OVER IT..................

Last year MSPN said he wasn't taking sides in the WoO / NST affair . Now after it is all over , of course he jumped on the bandwagon that won . What a spank !

amazing revelations = "if there is a demise"

buy in now...the price for true believers is getting better each week...or is the kool aide running out?

there appears to be a much better chance that the "best of the best" will finish out the years schedule than the governing body.

duane, even China is not dumb enough to purchase debt at this rate...no matter how much the self maligned cheroger derides his off shore foe of solidarity.

l took a side from the get-go and everybody knew it and I pounded on the biggest NST cheerleaders, Hawker and BRR, you have to be from Posseland to not know this.

I cheered for TK every night he raced and at the end of the year I did the same for Kerry Madsen. Joanne, nobody in this forum has said more positive things about Tim than I have. You've been around here long enough to know that by now, sheesh! Take It Easy....

"Sponsors" come and go all the time. WoO race teams AREN'T complaining for the first time in ten years.

No reason to get off the wave until it actually does crash, or a bigger one comes along which ISN'T going to happen... All the sharks like you and Hawker only make them paddle faster...laughing

$19,301,329 (track and event operations) in 2006 alone, is a pretty big wave. Big enough for Kinser and Lasoski to jump on board.

More importantly, what really did happen to the Posse in Florida, again? You two locals should have an excuse figured out by now, love to hear it. Or, is it that they weren't running at the Grove, admit that one time and I'll take my foot off your neck, lol. Take It Easy....

Rahmer got a 3rd. Wolfe almost won one and was fast. Hodnett was fast. Krimes, Darrah and Mark Smith were fast. Same as everywhere they go. They'll see you in August.

Dang, if they were fast then the Outlaws were rockets, apparently. They went backwards on most nights, including the two you mentioned at the beginning. I just need to keep you guys in check, the reality of what happens is sometimes forgotten very quickly by the selective memories of the Posse fan. I think at least you understand what happens when the best meet the rest Cubic, it's the other guy that refuses to believe really happens, Take It Easy....

PS When these guys make the top 5 at the Grove do you know why, lol?

Oh Wait , I know MSPN is OBSESSED with the Posse.

( I read all of it, MSPN - you did start the raving about the Posse. I do Know why- its all bout spin - you try to divert attention to something else. Great move, Spin Doctor. )

Have a great day!

Maybe the NHRA should sponsor the World of Outlaws as many races are won off the front row. The Posse is ready, willing and able... It's nice to have a break every once in a while from having to EARN a real living from twelfth every week.

only 4 of the WoO "rest" qualified for the A main last year...hence the discounted tickets...good thing you have the A team back this year to spare yourself another dismal showing.

and the carnie says:

"T shirts...get your T Shirts here"....

"Legacy Photos...get your"...ooops.

What the hell, OKCFan? A publicly traded company is not going to "fudge the numbers" to look worse than they really are.

I only took the two accounting courses I was required to (financial accounting and managerial accounting) for a management degree, but "fudging numbers" with the securites exchange commission is serious stuff. The accounting firm Arthur Andersen pretty much went out of business because of "fudging the numbers" with Enron. One of the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is that company executives are now held far more accountable for official financial filings with the SEC than they used to be. Sarbanes-Oxley is the direct result of scandals like Enron and Worldcom.

Knowingly filing fraudulant financial statements means jail time, not a slap on the wrist or a small fine. Kenneth Lay probably would have went to prison for the rest of his life for what happened at Enron had he not died first. Sorry. but you really don't know what you are talking about if you think that DIRT is knowingly "fudging the numbers."

like I said man...........I don't know much about this stuff. Obviously you know more about this stuff than I do. At the same time I wasn't proclaiming to be educated about it either............just thought maybe there is a little more to it than meets the eye.

I can see how a company operates while in debt.........but if the debt is doing nothing but growing larger.........how are they still operating?

I didn't want this thread to turn into the usual argument on here; I just wanted to explain that OKC's post was very wrong. The SEC takes a bleak view on companies playing fast and loose with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP). The Enron scandal put a major accounting firm out of business.

Here's a decent question since you brought up Enron.............where was the GAAP or the SEC when Harken Energy (and G. dub-ya Bush too) did the same thing Enron did?

Where were those companies when the stockholders lost everything, but yet Bush and co. did not?

No offense intended to you singlefile. I'm just wandering.......when did everything change? Enron?

When the Posse fans want to talk about crap I like to bring up what the facts really are, not the speculation. They need to know their place and that's mid pack or worse, call it spin, I call it reality. Take It Easy....

PS Who cares what the financial numbers say, I care about the results, the one thing the Posse fan Does Not want to acknowledge....
