Can Sammy make it 6 Chili Bowl wins? Not bad for a over 50 driver. Love him or hate him, the man can drive.

With all of the talent there it would take both a great amount of talent and good luck to do a repeat. We knowSammy has the talent as he "schooled" a lot of other good drivers last year throughout the whole week. A lot of eyes will be on him. Don't forget the great show that Kevin put on last year - with a little luck (or little less tough luck) he could have been right in there. Sammy pitted head to head against Kevin would have made for an even more memorable race.

Cheater car lol. They spent more time teching his car than all of the others. Last year Sammy won the thumb. This year he will give you the finger !

Who ever thinks that that was a cheaters car didn't ask any questions. Sammy actually laughed when asked what different about it. The fuel cell was different, but there was absolutely no advantage to it. The fact of the matter is, he kicked their ass. He simply has that little bull ring figured out. He know the tricks to driving it. Don't hate the player hate the game.

The fact that Sammy and Steve are both a few years older than me and are still schooling the youngsters helps keep me young and rooting for the old dogs of the sport. Only one regret,,, I wish Doug was still out there with them.

I wonder if they teched the motor to see what size it is? It sure looked like he had way more horsepower than he could even use with the track conditions.

I'm not sure, but I don't know if there's a motor rule at the Chili Bowl; I could not find any rules for the bowl........

Thought the Chili Bowl was an "Open" event. No weight rule, no motor rule, No F*cking rules, Period.
But who cares, Sammy won!

Slammin Sammy rules! I can't believe you people don't give credit where credit is due when it comes to Sammy. He and Karl Kinser are the 2 best minds the sport has ever seen! Give Sammy his due! Like him or not, he can still wheel a sprint car around any track in the country better than anyone!

There are only two rules for the Chili Bowl that I know of.
1) USAC body panel rules are in effect.
2) You must buy your fuel from the vendor at the track.

If Sammy was "cheating" then all the other teams should be pissed off at the promoters, why is it when someone wins that you don't like he must be cheating. I think it says something about the one making the assusation that they would have the idea of "cheating" in their thoughts.
