There is a three week break in the 2010 WoO schedule after the 3/20 Bulls Gap race. The next event is the 4/16 Paducah race.

Why not come west and race with the Golden State Challenge series. You can also run Chico Friday nights and get two 410 races in each weekend. We will probably see TK, Jason Meyers and Sammy but it would be great to see a few more. The schedule of open dates are below:

  • 3/27 - Placerville (GSC)
  • 4/2 - Silver Dollar (weekly show)
  • 4/3 - Antioch (GSC)
  • 4/9 - Silver Dollar (weekly show)
  • 4/10 - Tulare (GSC)

Can't run non-WoO tracks

Actually, SDS is a WoO track, and Tulare and Placerville have both run WoO shows in the past.

But I think that the WoO rule prohibits racing at a non-WoO show within 48 hours of a WoO show, unless you get permission from the WoO.

I think the ASCS NW speedweek last year only paid $1,500 or $2,000 to win ... so this is an improvement. However, I agree that the GSC series should be paying $4 or $5,000 to win/$500 to start .... just like the All Stars.

Heres an idea. Its 2500 miles from Bulls Gap, TN to Placerville,CA. Times that by $3.00 a gallon (estimate) and divide by 8 mpg (being a little generous) would equal $940 for fuel roughly plus food and misc. Now its another 2000 miles from Tulare, CA to Paducah, TN. Again another $750 fuel plus food and etc... So easily $2000 plus dollars to leave Chico on 3/13 and drive to Bulls Gap for a 2 day show to just turn back and do it again? Seriously. If someone wanted to race race here in Cali on those dates and not chase points I would just stay behind altogether and not go to TN at all. Then again on those same Cali dates I believe the All Stars will run a few shows as well as the IRA, ASCS and USCS to name a few, as well as the local tracks back in the mid-west that have to pay the same or better than the GSC.

Hell I would stay back there and hit what shows I could without zig- zagging (too much anyway) across the Country. You might see TK in the JR car out here or Sammy maybe, nad possibly other guys taht stay and drive Cali cars for a week or 2. That would be cool.

The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Definitely NOT worth racing in California!

West Coast promoters are cheap bastards!

I guess you don't understand the dollar reason. Need cars and fans...The promoters are concerned regarding the tire rule. Should the locals have to spend $2000. or whatever to run a two day show on tires then hang onto them until the fall shows? You might want to call the local promoters and ask them, their reasoning...before calling them cheap bastards..
