Gone but not forgotten

• Oklahoma State Fairgrounds, Oklahoma City

NASCAR's only trip to the Sooner State came in 1956, when the dirt half-mile hosted a 200-lap race in front of 7,500 fans. Only 12 cars made up the grid, including two local drivers.

Jim Paschal, driving the C U Later Alligator Mercury, averaged 60.1 mph to beat Ralph Moody's Ford by a quarter of a lap

Well that might help with the historical aspect. I know you have given up long time ago.We know which side of the fence you are on.

Well right now we are estimating about anywhere from 500 my count others are thinking 1000. We all know nonwingbill will not be there.

The route we had planned out we might have to change up a bit. The bricktown bridge my cause a problem for the bigger haulers. Although, we are still having the rally. We are brinigng in some people to talk that will be a pleasure to listen to for some.

We are working on that in other words no lol. If anyone has any ties to the media let them know. We do know that we will have a few radio stations out there. We are working on both TV and paper.

If enough people call all the TV stations in the metro some of them would show up just to see what we are up too.

Is anybody working 96.1, 107.7 or just 93.3?

A little FYI...The Sports Animals' Al Eschach used to cover the races as SFS, during his early years when he was with the Oklahoma Journal.

The Bricktown bridge is 13'9", unless extremely modified, the big haulers will clear 13'6" with an actual height of 13'5".
