Just at my home track of Santa Maria Speedway I have seen Robin Ventura (retired pro baseball player), Alan Johnson (NHRA top fuel crew chief/owner), Ron Capps (NHRA funny car driver)-he raced a late model here and we have the host of SPEED tvs Passtime tv show "the Big Shwag" as our infield announcer on a pretty much weekly basis. He claims he is working on a pilot tv show for SPEED channel about dirt track racing that would take place here in Santa Maria. Who knows what status that project is in but I can tell he really likes dirt track racing although he seems to know very little about it in my opinion.

Someone else may be able to substantiate but I believe Ashley Judd has been seen down at Perris Auto Speedway. I thought her stylist or something to that effect is the daughter of Tom Rolfe, Sammy Swindells car owner in the states. Hopefully someone else knows more.
Oh yeah I recently watched a video with Carey Hart (husband of singer PINK and freestyle motocross rider) he was down in Australia hanging out with V8 supercar driver Paul Morris and they went to Pauls property and took laps in his winged sprint car, Carey said it was the craziest thing he has drove. Scary I believe is what he said and he seemed like he was having a great time.

I distinctly remember Chevy Chase attending the Saturday night finale at the Knoxville Nationals several years back.

Tanya Tucker used to be on Darron Clayton's wing back in the day, not sure if she was ever at a race though. Roy Clarke also sponsered a wing sprinter a few years ago, think it was the 3c of Gary Cameron.

I'm trying to come up with a list of current celebrity sprint car fans (and I'm not counting Tony Stewart or Kasey Kahne). I know that Kurt Russell and his dad were race fans (I believe Kurt races quarter midgets as a kid, IIRC) but I'm curious if you guys know of any other actors/musicians/non-driver athletes who are sprint car fans.

I know that the actor Craig T Nelson is a flat track fan . And i think he did some racing in his teenyears or early 20s .

Many moons ago, while visiting the infield at Ascot Park, I encountered Sly Stallone, with two of the biggest Mexican bodyguards AND the hottest looking Blond Babe wearing 6-inch spiked high heels! She had noooooooo problem negotiating the dirt pit area. It would be nice to see more women in heels at the races. Oh, yea. E-Mods.

I've seen Van May at the Grove several times.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

That'd be "Cheyenne Bodie", aka Clint Walker. And no, I'm not TOO old; just right for my age in fact. You can see the show daily on the EWestern channel on Dish.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Lets not forget Mike Curb of Curb records, he has been a big supporter over the years to many drivers and many series. Ok a few more, Jesse James, Johnny Knoxville, Trace Atkins, Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Rodgers, Ashley Judd, Elvis, David Letterman, Patrick Dempsey, Alfonso Rubeiro(spelling may be wrong), Chuck Yeager, Merle Haggard, Stallone and many more I'm sure.......
The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Bill Engvol of "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" had a series (Kentucky Fried Home Videos) that aired on
CMT. They bought quite a bit of footage from me and did a segment on sprint car racing. On the
show he said he enjoyed going to see the sprinter but didn't say what tracks he went to. Going to
a commercial break he said, "Don't go away. when we come back we'll show you an airshow at
the racetrack!" When they came back, they showed a wild high flying 2 car flip at Thunderbowl
Raceway in Tulare CA.

Just out of curiosity, who is Kurt Russell, and what does he do to be a celebrity? Obviously, he is not one in this house.

On the off chance that you aren't be facetious and have been living completely out of touch since 1957, check out his filmography on IMDB.
