I'm trying to come up with a list of current celebrity sprint car fans (and I'm not counting Tony Stewart or Kasey Kahne). I know that Kurt Russell and his dad were race fans (I believe Kurt races quarter midgets as a kid, IIRC) but I'm curious if you guys know of any other actors/musicians/non-driver athletes who are sprint car fans.

My wife says that Hall and Oates were at Grundy county to watch midgets, and i know John Mellencamp has been spotted at Bloomington, Bubba the Love Sponge( if he's famous). Also Ronnie the Limo Driver from Howard Stern is a big racing fan.

Were Hall and Oates there together? Somehow the idea that they do everything together kind of cracks me up. (Like, that they are joined at the hip/Oates' mustache

Joe Montana attended a World of Outlaws race at Calistoga a few years ago. Gary Cherone (former singer for Extreme and, briefly, Van Halen) caught several World of Outlaws events at Perris, and spent a pretty good chunk of change in the souvenir trailer.

I believe David Letterman spent quite a few nights at dirt tracks when he lived in Indiana.
Joe Gibbs? Larry the Cable Guy has been at Eagle a few times.

I seem to recall that Brian Williams anchor of NBC Nightly News used to drive a modified at some point - or maybe it was his son?

Not sure about the sprint car angle, but Steve McQueen was a race fan and several years ago there was talk of a sprint car themed movie to star Gene Hackman, who was a sprint fan.
Dick Smothers of the Smothers Brothers ( this certainly ages me ) was a pretty serious drag racer.
I think I remember Economaki mentioning the Ronald Reagan called some races way back when and I believe Clark Gable was a fan.

He also attended a sprint car race at Jennerstown Speedway while filming the movie "Slap Shot" back in the early '70's when Jennerstown was still dirt

Sebastien Bourdais was on Speed Report with Despain a couple years ago and Despain asked him who beat who in the sprint cars. Newman had a few weeks earlier on his or Bourdais' birthday, rented a dirt track (in California??) and Newman, Bourdais and Bruno Junquera spent a couple hours banging around. Bourdais' exact words were "those are some badazz cars". Also laughingly said they spent a good part of the night in front of push trucks after spinning out.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.
