I heard from Chris Lloyd that if there are enough cars, Creek will run the supers. Sounds good since there are a few cars in Tulsa also. You guys might give Creek a call.

I love the super sprints as OKC as they were the premiere division there and I love that injected class. However there were alot of drivers wanting to switch to ASCS type rules anyways and it was just a travesty that Lanny wouldn't switch to ASCS rules.
Now there is no place to run super sprints so why does it matter if the majority of drivers wanted to go to ASCS rules anyways? What is the difference or am I missing something here?

yes david i think you are missing the point!!!!!! the POINT is that several of us super racers have already paid the money to freshin our motors and i dont want to spend couple more thousand dollars on top of what we have already spent to change over to ocrs. now if you want to help pay that expense i will be more than happy to do that to make YOU happy.

It ain't making me happy either way as I don't think YOU see the point. I was asking a question on the uproar and what a travesty it was posted by some that Lanny wouldn't switch to ASCS rules when it was asked to him.
It doesn't matter to me but the days of $1000 to win for super sprints, I feel, are said and done and I don't see super sprints running for that anywhere. I could be wrong and it damn sure wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last.
As I stated, I like the super sprints and the majority of the drivers but just asked a question, if that is okay? If not, please do let me know.
Thank you.

I asked Lanny if he was going to switch the OKC Supers over to ASCS rules like Devil's Bowl, he said their were too many teams with a lot of money tied up in the super sprints, and feeling 2010 would be his last year at the speedway, he wanted to give the drivers and owners a year to use up their equipment. I think he was just like all the rest of us and shocked by losing the 2010 season. He told me several years ago that A.D.A. would doom the speedway after the 2007 lawsuit settlement.

My question would be, why would any promoter gamble on the super sprints? When they could run ASCS or NCRA type 360 sprints and draw some travelers with their weekly cars. Rather than 12 to 18 regulars that can't run anywhere else. These super sprint drivers got screwed along with all the other drivers/car owners that run at SFS. It sucks but make an enjected class that has common rules where all cars can run just about anywhere they want. And not have to sink 10's of thousands of dollars in a car just to run one place. IMO the super sprints retired with SFS. I love the Super Sprints but it is what it is.

I agree with everyone else. I have said for a couple of years if I had a super sprint that there is no way I would spend alot of money on it. But if enough guys wanted to do it and Creek was willing then maybe give it a try. I highly doubt it would be $1000 to win. I personally think if they wanted to do it, they should try to run ASCS rules. The city motors will keep up quite well at places like Creek. That way guys could save their ASCS motors for the bigger tracks.
P.S.-I was just passing along info as I was asked. I have no dog in this fight. I was smart enough to get out when I did.
